Hand Throttles

An FJ60 hand throttle would probably work. Haven't tried it myself, but would probably a good fit.

All Hino trucks come with hand throttles that look exactly like an 80 series one. Don't know how the hook up would work though. But they will be available from any Hino/Heavy Truck dealer.

Howdy! My rig came with one from Slee. I think it is JDM It is the Pull and Twist style. I really like it. I know they are still showing up on his page, but I don't know price or availability. John

Got mine from Slee a few years back. Need to make sure your existing pedal has the necessary mount for it.
95 and above is compatible with the hand throttle. I should have gotten one from slee when I could it was only $55.
SOR is $159 and comes with a new pedel assembly but I already had the right one.

I got mine recently from Spector Off Road. They had a used one. I now have the bracket for sale since my 97 had it.
When I spoke with SOR... you can order the pieces... Cable, Knob etc.

SOR is selling not only the cable, but also the pedal assembly...which is not necessary, and going for $159, ouch!
The PN for the cable assembly:
78410 CABLE ASSY, THROTTLE CONTROL

List price is around $50. The only question I would have is if the assembly comes with the nut and knob (90179‑14032 and 78402‑6003 respectively). You may want to see if Dave at Japan4x4 can source the parts directly and sort out what is needed. Even with shipping, it would be less than SOR.

Call up SOR.... you are able to just buy just the pieces you want..

Do you have any ideas for how much SOR is selling just Hand Throttle without pedal? As i am about to order Hand Throttle set from Europe and maybe i will bring few along.

If I remember correctly what Ben at Slee told me, Toyota initiated a clamp down on who could order JDM parts. Supply and demand are now providing us parts that were previously available for a third of the price.

Not getting off topic, can someone explain the hand throttle thing to me on an auto truck for other than maybe winching or hi rpm/ amp delivery when not in the truck??? last time i looked these trucks only had two pedals in the US.
