Do you guys realize this thread is over a year old  . That's cool, Hey woody what's the longest running thread ever?

hey, now dont be knockin' a slow build!!! :D

money is tight this year....last year the money flowed like water....so now i have to be "reserved" on what i spend on toys...

put it to ya this way....last year i made close to 100k.....not bad for being a punk ass 23 year old....

this year im on track for a mid 60k year....
this blows.

a 5-10 thousand a year change in salary is managable.....

40 thousand dollars a year IS A MAJOR LIFESTYLE CHANGE.

last year i could blow money all over the place...basicly not worry about bills and having to stress on what i bought.
this year im sucking to keep the bills and the house in my name.....so whatever...now you know my situation...

AND IN FACT ARE YOU IN FOR A TREAT THEN!

cause i was yelled at by my work to get my junk outta the shop....so you get to see hiddin "bling bling" that i have had stashed.....

some longfields that crawled out of a cabnet drawer at work....
and

a neato steering shaft out of a BMW X5 that i was thinking for my steering converion....its got a nice double cardan joint set up that i dig....

it will be used as a power steering cooler for the cruiser.....
unless i used my beatup heat exchanger off of my lightning instead...i dunno yet....its aluminum too... sweet!!!

i picked up this brake caliper from work too....its off of a BMW 5 series.... was thinking of trying to get rid of the drum brake on the tcase and mount this one up....i dunno its an aluminum caliper, so thats why i snagged it...

where/who do i see to get my center rear rotors enlarged to convert to disks?
Paid $12 to have both machined

HD
On most occosions, chevy rotors are used in RD conversions because they have the correct stud pattern and spacing. The only problem is they have a smaller axle flange then the stock Toyota's flange. Thus needing the machine work to enlarge the center of the rotor.

well! i got done doing the cut and turn on my front knuckles. i went from a -8
==> (/) degree to a +6 degree ==> (\) caster angle. now im waiting on a side job for a 1997 cruiser to do a rebuild on the front knuckles on his truck. part of the agreement is to buy my knuckle seals and stuff when he buys his, and to deduct the labor out of it....kewl... im doin his front end for 350 bucks....so i think ill still have 225 or so left over in labor money....that way ill be that much closer to buying the 4x4labs steering knuckle stuff....THEN the front end can go back together.... this is creative income distrubution at its finest..lol

im trying to get the money together for the front end seals and gaskets....first off though, i need to get the steering arms before i can get the knuckles on (4x4labs).....i have to pull a trans/tcase out of a fjz80 to replace the flex plate (your not gonna believe what happened)....thats 500 bucks in labor....and then i need to rebuild the front knuckles on it....another 350 bucks...so after im all done, ill have 500 bucks dedicated to the cruiser... working on other cruisers to get my cruiser going. lol
kinda like keeping it in the bloodline or somethin. ;p
