@Vlad

🤔
Surely you can put a hose clamp or something better than a mini cable tie on that steering rack bellows. 🤔

Nah, i't good. Not staying on long enough to worry about it.

It's been trimmed :p I should be getting the first batch of RCLT in the next few months and EVERYTHING comes off and gets super big and cool. Then I save up for 4.88s and 37s :)

Updated. RCLT is on order along with the associated goodies. Also adding DOT legal beadlocks!

I also hacked the 03 4WD ECU and added a VSC off switch.

How the hell were you actually able to get Marlin to build you the RCLT? It is crazy how long they have been promising this for.

They released it last week to the public with pricing. I was the first confirmed order.

Nice! I really look forward to hearing how the install goes and how it performs on trail. Are you doing the install yourself?

I was really hoping that they would release RCLT for the 100/200 series as well, but no luck yet.

I’m assuming you are going full bore and getting the “ultimate “ level kit? Pretty much doubling the value of the typical GX. :p

Cant wait to see the final result.

I did get Ultimate. I am using a local shop to do the install for the sake of speed. There will be some body work so I just prefer to get it all done at once. Not just installing the kit, but also a diff rebuild to 4.88s and a new intermediate shaft and bearing in the front diff, new CVs (RCV ultimates) and so on. Possibly a body mount relo up front. A LOT of chopping in the back to stuff 37s. As for doubling the value...with what I have in the GX? This isn't even 1/8th the total cost to build what I have now. I have done everything and anything to maintain, fix, and upgrade this lovely old 2003.

Nice. Can’t wait to see it on someone else’s vehicle versus Big Mike’s Taco.

I wasn’t specifically speaking to the amount you have in your GX; it was more of a comment on someone starting with a new to them GX. 😎

oh yeah....this is stupid expensive but the functionality is next level. I have replaced at least as much as this kit costs over the years by breaking weaker OEM or aftermarket setups.

Given what people can spend on just an Icon or Baja Designs setup, the RCLT doesn't seem out of line for what it claims. I will be really interested to see how it works out for you. It will be nice to finally see the system on a vehicle with a shorter wheel base. Here is to hoping that it is as awesome as it seems like it will be!

Do you have any concerns about the front diff running 37s? It will be interesting to see how the ring and pinion holds up. I am guessing your diamond axle will have no issue with the 37s.

The front calm shell is quite well known for its durability so not too worried.
