UPDATE: RCLT is in, but have to rework the hydro bumps, limit straps, and alignment goodies. It is rolling but not driveable yet. Also have to cut quite a bit for clearance.

What size tires are you going to be running? On dirt every day they put on 40s on a 4th gen 4runner with RCLT but ended up ruining the car trimming it. I wonder what size tire you could actually fit with planning on the 120

37x12.50R17

This. This is a lot of welding to move from the old position to the new. Then the limit strap is attached to where the can used to be. Sigh.

Why do the bumps have to be moved? It looks like there's plenty of clearance unless you are planning to run a secondary/bypass shock?

There is not enough room. Hits the UCA. Will interfere with secondary.

I see you had to cut the front plastic trim, front bumper, and front inner fender liner. Did you have to cut anywhere else to fit the 37s?

These are added cuts. I have already cut everything to fit 35s so this was more to get to 37s. Rear was all cut too. I don't have any wheel well liners anymore. I just sealed the fenders with goop.

Whoa!

😈 Well, that there is a little bit different. 😈

Reminds me a little of a baja taco we built years ago. Nice!

Thanks! I need to get an alignment and fix a minor lead in a caliper and then break in the 4.88s then I can get some pics and poser stuff done. haha

Alignment done. Few more bugs to chase out and the break in can begin on the 4.88s. You get a sense of the travel here. Those are 37x12.50R17 tires

Gear oil swapped. Break in complete!

They are quite good. I get around 2300 rpm at 70 with the 4.88s (perfect) and they are VERY quiet. About the same road noise with a little less drone than the Kenda RTs. I haven't wheeled with them yet, but I will check that box this weekend.
