Okay - this will certainly be in-exact, but could any of you that have a
'40 with a hardtop or Metaltech cage and 35" tires let me know how tall your truck is in inches?

I am planning out mods, but my cruiser needs to fit in the garage - I would like to know if I have a fighting chance at 35's or not.

Gracias! And Happy 4th!

My 40 barely fits in the garage with 35s, SOA and the soft top on. Garage door is 7' tall and I have to push the door up all the way to get it in with just a little rubbing.

I went through this 3 years ago when we built our house.

The old house had a 7' tall door and the 40 barely fit w/ only a shackle lift and 33's. I did 8' tall X 10" wide doors on my current so I could lift it more. It now has 4" SUA and 33's. With the hardtop it clears the open door by ~ 7-8".

Not really a direct answer to your question but I hope it helps.

Older picture...prolly seen it before but you can see the clearance here.

really Busta? That has got to be with no top on at all. And it looks like the top of your cage is barely over your windshield frame, low profile like...

I am SOA on 35s with the stock bar (for now) and I clear the 7' door within a 1/2" to clear. As soon as the 37's show up, I think I a going to have to get out the chainsaw...

Thanks, folks - that is pretty promising. When they say measure twice, cut once, does that apply to the garage door sill?:D

I have 35's and a roll cage with no hard top, and I scrape the top going in every time. That's even with tires down to 10 psi. No way would mine go in with a hard top on.

I'd like to see that.

I can take a pic of it in the garage tonight if you like

No top, cage is low, suspension is as practically low as I could make it. I'm guessing around 4" lift.

Brandon - I think I want your garage - how much to ship to 85258? Do you take paypal?:hillbilly:

Busta - I would like to see a pic if its not too much to ask. I am a firm believer in keeping the suspension as high as you need but as low as you can.

My SO cruiser on 37's fits in a 7' garage.
Me too. And that's with the Kayline on. It'll go in with the hard top on if I air down to 8-10psi.

With new 4" lift, 35's, and metal tech family cage it rubs the door a little. No way it will fit with the hard top on.

i can get mine in with 37s...but i have to let all the air out and it still slightly scrapes

82" with 40's and no hard top...
