Don't know how to fly them, only swim them! Nope, really never fished, to me it was too much like playing golf. Tried both once, got bored, moved on.
But we need to explore more out there, mapped this place out with all the waterfalls, gates, campsite, etc.

Thinking about getting this at Lowes, I have 6 batteries for this system, so for $99 could be cheap insurance. Anyone has experience with these? Adding a bow saw too to my gear for these trails.

I've got a nice Husqvarna 455 that has been too quite since I left Vermont...

I've got the same saw, it's a workhorse and rarely quiet for more than a month or so. Needs fuel hose every couple years and the chain oiler leaks too but it just keeps going. Mine is about 10 years old.

Yeah, there's always a puddle of Bar-&-Chain oil under it, but otherwise a great saw. Maybe a bit heavy for overhead work, but perfect for clearing downed tress of a trail...

Take a look at Silky saws. If you're adding a bow saw, you could go with Silky and save space and have one amazing saw. I got a small Gomboy some time ago, it is almost a work of art and the blade cuts incredibly quickly and well.

I'd be down for going back there and exploring. Plus I have a chain saw.

Joe, those are some ninja looking saws! Could be good to just store in truck for emergencies.

Kevin, will let you know as weekend develops, Saturdays are shut for a while, but Sunday is possibility. It is a 3 hour drive to get there, leaving early could work to max the daylight. tgadd, you game for an early Sunday? Next week could work to, let the water level go down a bit.

Got an email from REI that lists this place as one of the best in the country for fall camping.

I would prefer a Saturday over a Sunday (Sun is gym day) but can rearrange things if needed.

Oh, Man! How cool is that!?!?! These are yours of course, can I save them in the file for the waypoint published in the GAIA map? If I do, others can see it too.

certainly looks more exciting

Nice thing about a 7x series ... impossible to flip the bezel :flipoff2:

They are not mine. They came from Matt Dean a UC guy. His dad has the bronco in the pics. These are all from that area.
