Good seat covers?

Just reaching out to ask to see if anyone knows any good seat covers for the 80 series landcruiser, specifically the fj80. I’m not sure if it matters fj or fzj but just for clarifications sake.
Thank you
Like replacement leather (L Seats, Katzkin, etc) or a slip-over like Carhart, etc?

I like the black neoprene slip on covers for camping/offroading. At least one vendor in Australia.

I've had 3 rows of the following in the tan/black velocivent for 6 months or so and think they are a good option.

Our kids are 6 and 9, dog is large and we use the 80 for longer trips and for outdoor activities and these have posed no issues and just work. Arm rest access on the 2nd row is a little more difficult than it has to be, but still works. The tan does show some spills though it's subtle. Fit is good and hasn't loosened or needed retightening.

Marathon sells nice form fitted covers, they are a canvas material, it’s stiff at first but eventually soften up. Wet oakel sell nice neoprene covers. Escape gear sells nice covers also. Spector Offroad sells covers also I believe.

I’d look into Cerullo. I’ll preface by saying I haven’t purchased from them but I’m going to once the budget allows. I’ve looked into L Seat and Ridies… these will be the most common response you’ll get regarding a leather seat replacement. They’re inexpensive compared to an upholstery shop and it’s somewhat DIY. There are how-to’s on this site. There’s also Mosely Motors, Land Cruiser Heaven, Specter Off-Road… these are on the pricier side idk what it is idk if it’s the quality of leather but they are reputable where as L Seats and Ridies have both had plenty of documented complaints and problems here on IH8MUD. You can also just go the route of replace the entire seat with a Corbeau kit.

However going back to Cerullo… what I like and the reason I’ll be going back with them is their seats slide over the existing leather/cloth whereas most of the above mention you HAVE to remove the original lining to fit the new one. Another reason I like them is they offer pretty close to OEM colors. Lastly and this may be a turnoff but they are vinyl seats that resemble very closely leather (at least from the sample I got). Supposedly they last longer than its leather counterpart. And they’re a snug fit from the photos I’ve seen online. They’ve got me convinced and their price is about $500 for the front pair. Doesn’t necessarily break the bank IMO.

When I do get them I’ll post a review on them. I’m exited to refresh my front two. Hopefully this helps!

Thank you, the marathons are what i was looking for. Hopefully it will prolong the seat life of the cruiser.

I found that the Escape Gear 100% cotton ones were crap. Drivers side was shredded within 2 years. Don't think they like the sun. They have another version that is a poly cotton blend that may be better.

unfortunately i have the fj not the fzj so i dont know if those would work. Thank you though.

I've had these from CoverCraft on my daily driver for four years now and they're wearing well and getting more supple from use.

I love the marathon covers.

I think the best value seat covers for the 80 Series are the neoprene Coverking brand ones sold through Costco's website (it redirects you to Coverking, and you have to be a Costco member to purchase through Costco). It's a great warranty - Costco's warranty. They fit quite well and are very durable. I think they might be a half step below Wet Okole, but they cost a fair bit less. I rocked my Coverking covers on the front seats of my 80 for about 7 or 8 years before they started to fall apart (and that was just some shredding in the middle of the driver's seat, I could have kept going with them). I ordered new fronts, and I'm still using the first middle row covers after 10+ years. It's a very good product at a very fair price, and they have sales from to time. Can't go wrong, in my book.

@Stew80UT @bicycleagent003 or anyone else with knowledge on this.

Can you install heated seat elements under the Wet Okole or Coverking neoprene seat covers?
I don't know about that. The neoprene is not very thick, I'll say that. I'm sure if you call Coverking and ask they'll let you know.

It would work with any covers because I doubt the elements get hot enough to affect the material.
I know you asked about other brands but I had already put new foam in the bottoms and didn’t want to take the seat apart again so I stuck the elements on the seat and covered them with the covers. The elements I got had some light adhesive strips so they held on until the covers were on. The seats get warm real quick and it’s nice!
