A person could sell those older engines and use the money to buy a new engine from a junk yard, with all the right sensors and smog equipment. There is a market for your older stuff.

I do agree an older 350 is still better than a 2F. My 80 with the 3fe was on it's way to an LS swap then I sold it.

Putting in an engine older than the vehicle is crazy in California. And so is saying "I'll figure something out". I don't know the California rules, but I think not only won't you be able to pass smog, you won't be able to sell it either. JMHO.

Ha Ha No plans on selling it, its not staying in Calif, This isn't my first build. I appreciate the input and honestly I cant wait til its finished. Were stoked and why not its our rig. Whatever happened to " Right on build what you want "

Finished up the T case today. Thanks Valley Hybrids @orangefj45 for getting me the rebuild kit. Next week I should have the Advance Adapter motor mount kit, Trans mount kit and some other bits. Yes its a 4 speed T case LOL

Cleaned up a few things under the 60 today. While I was doing that my buddy Olen was mocking up an AC bracket so we can run the Toyota compressor. Still waiting on a few things that we ordered. Should have the trans and t case bolted together this weekend. Yesterday I spent some time at the local auto junk yard found a water pump pully, trans cooler, and some carb brackets.

Today was another great day Finished up getting all the small parts rebuilt or cleaned. Motor, trans and t case are bolted up. Took us about and hour to get everything centered and lined up. Tons of clearance and everything is looking good

Installed and finished tacking up the front motor mounts. Tomorrow we can start on the rear trans crossmember.

Daily driver/some wheeling Down the road we might make some extreme changes. SOA, gears and such

We finished up the front motor mounts and built the rear trans and t case support. Im really stoked about how well this is coming together. I got the Lokar shifter and rams horn exhaust ordered last night. This weekend I will get all the fluids and dizzy stuff, plugs and the rest of the misc stuff together. By next week we should be ready for driveshafts
