Owner says it is a 1970 but the vin tag says manufactured in 1971.
Seems to have some FST identifying features, but I am new to this whole thing.
Has the triangle brackets on the top of the windshield and the loops on the rear quarters.
Does not have the threaded holes on the a pillar though. I am not sure what else to look for.
Appreciate any help.

Not a fst. No tailgate, no fst hinges, no vader light on the dash, no safety strap eyelets.

Thanks. I kinda know what everyone says to look for but I don't know exactly how to identify it all.

The brackets on top of the windshield are on all cruisers - they are designed to hold the windshield in the down position on the hood.

I have footman loops on my 74 also and it isn't a FST. The aluminum channel on the backs look like the ones that came with my Kayline soft top.

And you don't have the drop down tail gate it appears.

I'm thinking it isn't an FST.

At this point, it needs a hard top, a soft top, or a tarp top - it's gettin' RAINED ON. ;-)

Technically, it is a 72 model year because it was built in Nov. 1971. The model years switch sometime in August.
