Hey mud!

Swapping my front 3rd at the moment, and I have 2 photos to analyze...

1st photo is the 3rd I just removed from the front... has no block in middle, just the center pin

2nd phot is the 3rd I’m about to install, but has the block with the center pin running through it.

The question is, am I good to run the front 3rd with the block or do I need to remove the block and just have the center pin going through there.

Thx!

the block on the pin is there to keep the axle shafts from sliding in and losing the "C" clip that holds the axle shaft in the axle housing
the block is not needed on the front as there are no "C" clips
it is used on semi floating rears

You don’t need the block. The axles can’t go further than the birfield will allow them and they lock at the end of the axle with the hub.
