We've found that we have to make more and more stuff in house, in order to get the results that we want. There have been some disappointing experiences with some "high end" suppliers. It takes a lot longer to make things and pass up the production offerings, but at least we are in control of the end result.

When it comes to building trucks, I could not agree more.

...the completed set of A/C hoses.

Love the weatherpack fittings. So what is the yellow wire that is looped back? Assuming that is something that isn't utilized by the GM harness.

Could you detail how you wire the backup light and neutral safety switch to work with 4L60E? I tried to figure out how to wire them to the MLPS and gave up in frustration.

Up next, we'll be modifying the shift linkage, to get everything to read properly on the factory Toyota shifter with the GM transmission.

...but first, we'll have to do something about this.

The stock shifter bushings are so whipped that even the Toyota gear shifter doesn't correspond very well with the Toyota transmission.

This is what they are supposed to look like...

So all the gold colored bracketry is stock Toyota stuff? I purchased my FJ 62 with a Chevy swap and Lokar shifter and none of that gold stuff is there. I have a vision of mating a stock shifter to the 4L60 but it looks like I would need to get not only the shifter itself but the tabs, brackets and pivot point where the bushings go. Is that about correct?

The gold bracketry comes with the adapter kit.

...about to take the first hoodless lap around the block.

How did you plumb/incorporate the charcoal canister. I just pulled my 3FE last night for a swap and that is making my scratch my head...

Beautiful Fab Work The small details are not unnoticed.

We eliminated the charcoal canister due to fitment and ease. This is one of the details that we should have done differently. It will definitely need to be relocated with the V8 exhaust manifold.

Dual plug.

You only use the large connector. The smaller 4 wire connector is not used.

Sorry for the hijack. I am performing a similar swap in May and will have drivetrain parts for sale. The stock GM stuff is nothing special but may fit into someone's low buck project and along with the Toyota transfer case would be a solid score.
Yes I admit to some shameless plugging but we all try to look out for others and I don't want this stuff to rot in the wrecking yard if it will be a good fit in another truck.

For Sale: - GM drivetrain San Diego and Denver
