I'm wrapping up putting a standard 5.3/4L60E setup in my 88 FJ62 and I've hit a bit of a roadblock with the alternator wiring. Partly my fault because I didn't label wiring well, and also because of really shadetree PO wiring I ripped out (there were actually wirenuts all over the place). I've spent a lot of time on the wiring diagram, and the two white 10 and 12 gauge wires go to the alternator output terminal, but I am unsure about how to wire the charge light (black and green). I also can't confirm what the yellow/white wire goes based on the diagram, or the third white 10 or 12 gauge wire.

Any help, pics, or guidance appreciated. This should be the easiest part of the wiring process but I apparently suck at reading wiring diagrams.

Hey Erik, (Is this you, Erik ? :) ) really simple. All the solid white wires are the same main charge circuit. Just install the large white ones that were originally on the 3FE charge post onto the LS alternator charge post. The rest of the wires that were on the 3FE alternator connector (yellow, black/yellow, and white) are no longer needed. If you follow the smaller solid white wire up the harness it is spliced into the same run as the large gauge white wires, so constant 12v. Black/yellow is +12v key-on and cranking and good for using to trigger your new EFI/Fuel pump relays.
