I love my dash box but didn't care for the key lock, something else to carry/lose and required to close the dash box lid. I often lock my keys in the dash box when I'm parked for a mountain bike ride or a run.
My wife's new bronco came with the security console option that has a nice cam combination lock, looked it up, ordered one and swapped out the key lock. thought this might help a few folks. Note: I had to punch out a little pre-stamped square to swap the cam over to the new lock.
