Christmas came early!

Wow, Bob, that was real quick. I paypal'd you at 0630 and UPS dropped off your package at 1930...
Both Ige & I said "WOW" when we saw the pieces. Beautiful work. Well done Sir.
Pics in the AM.
Also, I need the OD of your exhaust pipe. And, do you need it offset or centered?

Thanks again bob. Cannot wait to get started. One good thing about the south is the lack of snow to get my work done. Time to get a welding refresher course and I'm sure you'll get a call or 2 during the install.:beer:

Richard, Snowing here today. Give me a ring if you need to.

Thanks Bob.

Here they is...FENDER PATCHES! Nicely wrapped & padded. I don't know why, not fragile.
Now to figure out which Pig gets which panel where. This may have been one of the times when I should have been more careful on what I wished for...my "HoneyDew" list just got a bit longer. If I'm gonna put these patches on the Black Pig, I gotta fix those rocker sliders first. The hole on the Blue Pig DS fender is a tad bit bigger than the patch, but Ige says theres another patch for the Blue Pig hole lying around here somewhere. The PS Black Pig fender is pretty good, considering.
Plus, I think I'd have to trim any patch for the 37s on the Black Pig...hate to do that to BobM's panels. I'm leaning towards putting both patch panels on the Blue Pig...Ige's already put a lot of work into the roof, It's the stockest Pig here, and least likely to get trail damage.

PIGHEAD, your choice, just make sure you remove enough material on the inner bracket so the water and crap flow out. If you dont they will rot again.

Thanks Bob.

Perhaps I should start a poll...which Pig to Fenderpatch?
The Black Pig sure could use some DS help, but it's minor compared to what the Blue Pig needs....
The Pickle Pig is not in the running for these patches.

Disclaimer: Pighead expressed, in another 55 thread, about how he would trade a custom-built exhaust tip to BobM for a pair of FENDER PATCHES...BobM apparently does not get jokes, for he sent me a Pair of his most excellent FENDER PATCHES even before I could paypal him for the estimated postage. To claim that this is a well thought out and pre-planned for project would be a lie. Please to allow Pighead some time to contemplate and plan out a reasonable response to this unexpected windfall. I am re-reading this thread to see how these pieces go together. Have not yet got to the part where BobM tells us how much these patches cost. I'm gonna write this off to 'Cruiser Karma or Xmas spirit, or both.
Part of the deal is that I send to BobM a Pighead Kustom exhaust tip just like Pighead runs. The other part is that I post the install (of the patches, not the exhaust tip). And pay postage.
So here I am posting, and drinking a pound of bad coffee just to get the can...
Our (NuclearLemon and Pigheads's) initial impression, a simultaneous outcry, upon seeing the patches, was "WOW". That has not diminished overnite.
Pighead will guarantee that the first word out of anybody else who opens a package from BobM will be similar.
Pighead will continue to offer only true and unbiased Pigformation to his Pig Brethren and Sistren. If this stuff sucks, you'll hear about it here first.

PIGHEAD, Cruiser Karma And X-mas. I have bling for my exhaust tip its a Bud can (Srapdaddy will like that.) Customer feedback is the most important thing and hopefully the WOW factor never goes away. If you have any issues we would appreciate your feedback so it can be corrected. If you have questions on install P.M. me but I know you have it under control. The Black PIG would look Sweet sporting my HEAVY DUTY ROCKERS.:)

Thanks Bob. :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:

The Black PIG would look Sweet sporting my HEAVY DUTY ROCKERS.:)

:

if theyre at all like ipors, they would look sweet, but nuclearlemon is leary of her ability to weld thick steel to the evil thin sheetmetal (hence the reason the ipors have sat in the garage for two years instead of going on the blue rustmobile ;) )

Rockers are done exact duplicate of factory dimensions. made out of .090 cold rolled steel. Super Strong. $200.00 each less shipping.

Thanks Bob.:)

The Black PIG would look Sweet sporting my HEAVY DUTY ROCKERS.:)

Super strong or no, I still feel the need to armor my rockers. Which would defeat the purpose of the factory look. I had a pair of the IPOR rockers hanging around for a few years too...I think my best bet would be a length of 2x4 or 1x4 box, just haven't gotten around toit yet. I bolted the 4" angle on 24 years ago as a temporary fix and it has perform admirably, so their replacement went on the back burner until now. I've become accustomed to using them as pivot points in tight spots. Also will gain a couple inches of ground clearance by going to a thinner slider.
So, now that we have FENDER PATCHES, we need to do the rockers on the Blue Pig, and the sliders on the Black Pig. Me and my big mouth.

bobm,

What do you think about fabbing long-rang gas tank?
Not sure what demand would be, but I do not think there are any options out there right now...

MMMmmm...i like that! Not in the position to buy any time soon (probably a year) but i would love the option for sure.
