I am entertaining installing tube fenders (MetalTech 4x4) and installing aftermarket FJ70 blinkers to replace my stock blinkers. Is it as simple as it looks? Drills some holes in the apron to mount and thread the wiring through. Asking since I don’t have an FJ70 blinker to mock up. Also, from pictures on the web it looks like they fit flush and clean on the apron.

I have the MetalTech fender kit laying on the floor that I haven't started on yet. I was considering using FJ70 turn signals also but I don't think they will fit once you cut the aprons as the instructions say to do. I don't want to cut my aprons and may have the piece that fits between the bib and aprons for the fender lengthened. I am looking at LED head lights that have the turn signal built in and eliminate the lights on the fenders. I have damaged the stock turn signals a few times and the damage to the finders was never completely fixed and had rust issues.
