FJ62 has been parked due to a fuel ⛽️ leak, but finally was able to patch it with JB Weld. 3/4 inch Crack is on top of the tank so it’s not too bad. This is a temporary fix, but also took the time to clean 🧼 up the undercarriage of the rig and put a couple of coats of undercoating on the tank.

Looks great. Hopefully you can find a shop to weld that some day. Fuel tanks crack happen (among other reasons) due to stress from pressure cycling, so your JB weld may not last on a hot sunny day. Just FYI - I hope it holds!

How long did it take you to drop that tank out? I've heard it's like doing yoga in a small box.
It's a pain, for sure. The trick is to remove the sway bar link brackets (try not to break the studs). Once everything's out of the way, it's just a matter of finding the *perfect* angle that will allow it to drop out from between the frame rails.
