i don't own a camera and my cellphone is so scratched up all the pics come out blurry.

Will have to get someone to come take pics, right now the engine is on a pallet and most of the parts are in boxes.

Will look a little more like a project once i get the bell housing/clutch in my hands and can start putting things together.

Will probably doing this swap in the front of the shop so any of you guys driving up and down the street can stop and watch...or take pics for proof!

I REALLY need to come by your shop to drop off my leaf blower. Whatcha doing Saturday?

I saw you maybe one or two Saturdays ago in front of the shop with your hood up but couldn't stop - was late to get to the office. :frown:

i work every other sat. On sat we are open from 8-noon. I spent about 3 of those hours under the vehicle/hood putting the lift on last week.

this sat i'll be hanging out around the house watching football.

K - I'll try to catch you another Sat then.

I live 10 minutes from where he works if u want to leave it with me one day. I can take it to him during the week or something.

update:

got a chevy bellhousing this morning.

cast iron, all the specs i needed out of a 57 chevy.

another update:

still have no cam to take pics

we have 2 digital cameras in the house and neither have a charger.

thanks dude.

Next monday the cruiser gets parked and the engine pulled out, so Benke...if your keeping updated on this you should be able to pick this up between mid next week to next weekend.

Have a few mis items to take care of like ballancing the dual flywheel assy (assuming my dad gets it back to me on sunday/monday)

get new oil filters, few gallons of oil and antifreeze.

Possibly a new radiator hose or two, some custom p/s lines.

and match up an a/f to stick on the intake tube until i get the cash up to install both an intercooler and a snorkel.

Eventually i'll be ditching the OEM turbo for a HY35 holeset turbo anyway to push the engine up to about 200hp. Should be a torque monster in the cruiser with @440 ft-lbs with the addition of a better turbo and slight tweak of the fuel screw.

Other plans include a boost gauge.

But until spring and more buisness rolls away my main concern is getting her installed and running.

I'm still watching...and waiting.

i used the same method for my tach set up. My ABS sensor came from a 2008 jeep liberty, will find out how well it will work in about a week.

2F is ready to pull.

Everything is removed/pulled loose. Just waiting for an extra set of hands to remove the hood and help steady the engine while i pull it with either the fork lift or engine hoist.

Benke...she's all yours bro!

If u need some help one morning hit me up. I have the kids on monday and tues. but pending on what u need i can help u out.

Glad to see you getting started on the swap!

I pulled my engine on Thurs. morning and worked almost nonstop for the last 48 hrs. because my truck is my daily driver. My Isuzu diesel is in and driving as of 3 AM this morning. Still have a bunch of stuff to hook up and plumb, but at least she can move under her own power, DIESEL power!

Oh, I don't know what you are doing for power steering lines, but I used a complete set of FJ62 lines and they bolted right to the Isuzu pump as well as all frame mounts and the steering box, no modifications needed. This was a nice surprise at midnight last night.

Good luck on yours!

Don

got the hood off...carefully.

will be able to pull monday morning so long as works not busy. Have a mower and tiller to get going in the morning but after that i should at least be able to have the 2f out and on the ground.

Thanks for the heads up on the 62 lines.

Best price i found on those lines used was 90 bucks shipped. Will just go to the local hose shop and have them made for half that price. Will be using the 4bd1t pump.

the 2F is out and on the ground. Ready for you Benke!!!

going to pressure wash the engine bay tom morning and get start removing the old engine mount brackets from the frame.

Also going to mount up the Ranger OD torque splitter and get the clutch slave hooked up. Will need a custom line from Cline Co.

I let you know when, It'll be soon. Maybe this Sunday.

this sunday would work. Just let me know a time.

ran out of LP in the fork lift, will need to get more by then.

oil is drained and she's ready to go. Don't forget the water and oil sending units are not going to be on this engine when you pick it up.

Are u doing this at work or your dads shop?

i'm at the lawn mower shop.

There isn't a shop at my dads place. Just a gravel drive with a building full of the finest tools GE has ever purchased.

I don't have as many tools here but i can get more work done without a 40 min drive from S'ville to piedmont.
