What’s everyone doing for front caliper options on their 60 series?

Buying new OEM, reman from auto store, rebuilding their current ones?

Mine are a bit crusty and the gasket/seals are a bit toast.

@cruiseroutfit has these available new and this was what I ended up doing. As far as remanufactured ones go, I had a tough time a few months back sourcing these. Ordered some from Rock Auto which turned into a complete nightmare, they shipper the LH caliper then backordered the RH caliper indefinitely.. Rock Auto has no number to call, no customer service etc. I know many folks have good luck with them but after my experience, I will never use them again. Thanks James! @cruiseroutfit is the only spot I’ve seen the OEM available. I’ve had good luck with Rock Auto in the past but of course those are aftermarket / reman.

they do well for now , installed in september so they are still pretty new.

I'm running O'Reilly remans, have had no issues with them whatsoever. Lifetime warranty as well.

I’d stick with CRUISER OUTFITTERS OEM (Complete Kit Japanese style). Quite expensive (Fromt $550) but really the best. Then again, if O’Reillys have a FULL LIFETIME WARRANTY, it’s very tempting if you know their definition of “FULL”….pay your money and make your choice.
I haven’t even touched the ancillary subjects of NEW - REMANUFACTURED - or REBUILT!

How have they held up?

I got these too. Legitimate OEM cores rebuilt in some far off land. One of the seals weeped right out of the box, but I was able to adjust it with a dull flathead screwdriver so that it sat properly in the piston bore. I was pretty annoyed by that. Haven't had a problem in 30k miles though.

This is what I did on my 62.
I rebuilt the ones on my 40 (same setup).
Put Napa remans on a friend’s 1st gen 4Runner.

I run the Napa 4Runner calipers on my 60. I have no complaints. Been about 2 years and 15k miles.

OP, yes, those calipers are done.

The ones from CO seem a bit spendy, but they are brand NEW OEM and good for the rest of your truck's life - Plus, they come loaded with OEM pads, springs, etc. If you add up cost for a premium reman, plus then buying OEM pads, and all new springs, keepers, etc., the Cruiser Outfitters stuff is not much more for brand new everything Japanese quality.

The Toyota remans are long NLA, anyway, so your only choice for remans is aftermarket and quality has nose-dived in the last few years. Very hit 'n miss. If you decide to go that route, I'd try and stick with a MUD vendor.
