I am learning a lot that I will never need to know again...

magic numbers for Fedex are 48" long and 50lbs. Over either of those and the price doubles.

Shipping two kits is about 40lbs, so that is the magic number. Just need to cut down boxes to get to the right size...

Goal is to ship a bunch today and get my garage back.

Going back to the CA folks, are any of you close enough together that I can combine two kits?

@lilgreen is in Palo Cedro
@joesfj40 is in morro bay

@2fpower I'm in SF. If @Tomba @lilgreen are cool with coordinating pick up, we can ship here. @55guy - my son is at Davis and my LC is in Woodland. I can arrange to get yours to either spot for pickup. Let me know if that works for the norcal team.

Oops - I read Palo Cedro as Palo Alto. Not sure if @lilgreen is the correct handle as I don't see it tagging him in the thread.

appreciate your help. will send an email to him and you.

Oof. I would like to keep my kit as almost every seal has 1/2 inch gap. I was going to wait till I did my roof swap so I don't need the kit asap. Is there a way the company can honor the purchase some time next year?
well, this sucks....

Just figured out that we ordered 17 of the RK358 kits and we only got 16. I knew they were short some items... however, I assumed it was some of the one off items that some people tacked on.

So... if anyone that got the RK358 kit wants to back out, I will give you a full refund and peace will be retained.

Well that does suck, I would typically defer mine but my 69 is at paint and body shop torn down in Grand junction so if possible I need mine.

Looks like I’m alone in SoCal so I’ll need to ship alone.

@2fpower - is there anything RSA can do to ship the missing set? If the order was correct

@2fpower - Any options from RSA on shipping the missing set? I need mine as well but I think that sentiment is going to be true for all of us.

Was going to suggest something similar, so yes that works. SF is 10 minutes from me.

The last time I organized a group buy, all the stuff came to me on a pallet all ready to go, I would grab a box, slap a shipping label on it and off it went to a group member.... well, this time, the boxes we got from Australia were organized by part.... Thus, we had about 900 individual parts to separate.... which is all great until you reach the end and you are missing some parts and have some extra... then your auditor wife has you dig back through box after box....

Well, I digress... many thanks go out to our local 55 friend Steve Riddle, as he came over this morning for out quest to separate this stuff.

All the kits are separated and made up. We ended up missing only a handful of parts that members had added onto their orders. I recall them saying some things were not available; however, it may have been a mistake on my end.

I will work to see if we can group ship out as I get all the addresses. Plan to get them all shipped this week.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
This sounds like a massive undertaking!!!

That would be fine with me as well if it makes things easier for @2fpower .

I appreciate the help everyone.... I got a bunch packaged and shipping labels done before the messages yesterday.

Here is the state of the state....

I shipped out a ton of kits over the weekend. I tried to add your emails to Fedex to send you shipping updates. Those who group shipped will both get emails from fedex.

I appreciate those that agreed to ship together as I ran out of shipping tubes for the long parts. I have about 5 more to ship, so I will go buy some more shipping supplies.

I have reached out to the Australia folks to ship us the missing items. We will see what we can do to make everyone whole. I appreciate everyone's help to make this group buy work for everyone. No one stepped forward to get out of the group buy, so we need to replace those kits. I did have two people that agreed to delay their kits, so my intentions is to make them even with everyone else, so they are not out extra money. Basically we had over 30 kits so if it costs $300 to ship to the US, then everyone would pay an extra $10 each.

Give me a week or two and i can get all the costs figured out and I will update everyone and divide up the balance due for everyone.

Just heard from the australia rubber folks, they are willing to do the same discount.... AND>>>> they expect to have the rear tailgate window seal gasket in had in the next few weeks. This is the rear glass gasket that we were working with them to make. I don't have a price on those yet... This is the one that is $300 on ebay.

I assume that everyone with a non-ambulance rear door would want one? Why don't you send me a PM or email if you want one.

Got my stuff. Ty ty ty!

Got the set! Thank you 2F!

That reminds me.... When you get the sets, please open them up and take inventory. I tried to add a packing list to each box, and circled your kit.

We checked them twice, so I don't expect any issues .... however, with how well everything has gone so far ....

I will post up pictures of the packing list as well in case I missed putting the list in there.
