FJ55 I Force Conversion

Anyone ever use an 4.7 L I force for a conversion into a 40 or 55? I am considering it over a GM engine but want to get input first. Any help would be appreciated.

been done a few times, actually there is a member on the board who has put one in 55 and supercharged it, just be careful in making your decision because there currently are no adapters available for this engine, so your gonna need the whole drive train, engine, harness, tranny, and transfer. Which if pulling it from a tlc, it will be full time 4wd. Also, you will have to have a centered front and rear differential. good luck

I found a complete engine, trans, transfer out of a 06 Tundra with the harness so that is the plan. I'm sure that I would have to get the computer tweaked to make everything right. I know a guy that does GM computer rework but does anyone know of a Toyota guy?

looks like your set, pull the rear axle too if you can, but wtf would you need to tweek the computer? It should work fine. good luck.

Give Lance Williams a call at Iron Pig Offroad they did the same conversion in Ryan Scotts 55.

I saw that rig in person and heard it run. Awesome. Lance is the man, and he is very nice and helpful if you can get him on the phone. He did some major (to me ) work on my rig and I am copletely satisfied.
