Looking for the red round reflectors manufactured by Koito and the mounting brackets for the rear of my fj45 lpb. If someone has a single bracket that I could borrow to replicate that would be great also.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks for looking.

Check out Stratolight.com. My LBP had these on the back and on the side of the bed when i bought it, they looked to be an original aftermarket option. There was only one on the back so I

put two new ones on.

Interesting. Never realized how these were placed before. You can't run these if you want to have a real rear bumper on your rig.

What are those brackets worth as trading bait?

Found the Grote brand reflectors are still available on Ebay for around $4.00/ea. I haven't found any brackets for sale, but they don't appear to be difficult to replicate. Working on reproducing them. As for a price for originals, I would say the market hasn't spoken yet. Maybe $15-20 each would only be a guess. They are rare, but ease of reproducing them may keep the price low.

If you search eBay carefully, you can find nos aftermarket reflectors with original 1960's date codes (I know, I'm a dork). My 1962 FJ40 also had stratolite's on it. From what I've been able to tell, the really early trucks used aftermarket until the mid 60's when they started using Koito reflectors.

I was informed by Laura Colebank (Manafre's OTHER daughter) the correct term is cruiser geek. Do you have a comparison pic of this little peace of trivia posted somewhere for reference?

Believe the Koito reflectors started around 64. Prior to that they were installed at port to meet DOT requirements for the US market. My 63 FJ40 with a 62 production date had aluminum housings. All the earlier reflectors have steel housings. Believe I have two different manufacturers. I also picked some used military reflectors that are very close.

FWIW,I posted a pair of brackets in my fire sale thread.
