Time to edit the title phteven ;)

Although id love to scoop the 80 that spurred this thread cheap if we could locate owners. That was an ls swap waiting to happen

Tonsils lanced? Grandpa's cough medicine? Didn't the leeches work? But seriously, I hate it for you. Best wishes to get better soon. Sarah has an 1800's cast iron cauldron we can lend you if you need to boil up some salve. :rofl:

Nice work on the 80. Looks like progress happens in a timely fashion. Makes me feel bad about myself.
 
LOL Thanks for the offer John! Man we were really close to being able to pulling it off in a week start to finish. Had the head been ready last Friday it would have been close.

Ok so started feeling halfway human this morning so I decided to try and get out and about and get a few things done. Managed to get the parts picked up from the machine shop and the head "looks" great.

Then off to pick up new oil, oil filter and coolant. Right after purchasing this 80 I immediately changed the oil and switched to the Rotella T6 Full Synthetic and immediately started to get valve cover gasket leaks:frown:. Was totally dry before with conventional so I'm switching back. Oh and I might have picked up a can of spray paint while I was there....
