FJ40 Upholstery Photos and Reviews

Hello all, looking for some advice on upholstery options to recover my front bucket seats and rear jumps on a 1974’ FJ40.

I’d like to see as many photos as possible from the known vendors (Lseat, LCH, etc.) How are the covers holding up. Leather/cloth/vinyl!?

I installed Cruiser Corps covers about 10 years ago and am still happy with them. My truck was a daily driver for about 8 of those years.

Nice! I’d definitely be happy to get 10 years of daily use out of them. That’s an achievement even for modern upholstery!

I looked it up, they were installed Dec 2012

They have been sitting on the floor with stuff piled on them almost 2 years now while I am refreshing the truck. I plan on keeping these covers for the time being. They need cleaned up, but you can see they have held up pretty well.

I used a local guy to restitch and refoam my seats. He created a new Driver's side bottom. I discovered after the fact that the seat is actually green, not black. It took a Bissel SpotBot an hour to get all the mud out. I spent a couple hours cleaning paint and years of grime off the vinyl.
