Are you sure it is a 12V unit? Do you have the old controller still?
It’s 12v. Yemen is all gas stuff. Mine did not have a controller. The PO had a toggle switch there to turn the compressor on direct.

The thermistor in the evap works with the slide control to prevent freeze up. It could be something with that. I've seen one unit with a broken slide pot. I've also seen broken RPM and TEMP pots in the controller. Otherwise these are pretty reliable. Denso designed some pretty robust stuff.

Hi Mate, I have a BJ40 series Diesel AC Unit. Can you by any chance let me know a compatible part/number for a Thermistor? I am unable to find the original. Also, where can get the 3K Slide Control component? Many thanks.

Is it 88625-60020?
That one is discontinued

Maybe one from a late 60 will work, not sure

I bought one a few years ago for testing AC amplifiers. I will check to see what I ordered.

The thermistor curves changed when the 60 series truck was introduced. You can see the early version from a FJ55 is a bit different than that for a 60 series.
