I missed it too. Haven't been watching ebay as much as I use too. At least it didn't have the blue Aisin plate behind the site glass. That's what I could really use. I did just win a bid for four early years of land cruiser microfishe. Didn't have the 61 but it did have the 62/63/65 FJ40s and 67 FJ55. Don't have them yet to check out months but I'm guessing the 55 must be late 67 since the 68 model was the first year of the 55s

Thought I'd let you guys know I'm not dead yet, just been on the "road" for a long time...predicted to be a very slow winter so I might get some real work done in the garage then...

Phil, good to know your out there somewhere. Any new finds??

Still flying the B V 107s and 234s, should be in Petersburg, AK, tomorrow for a day...no interesting finds along the way, just the average 40/60 here and there. I need to get some South American work;)

Always loved the Chinook...still do!

:hmm: You ever get to use one to mud ship? There is an old 40 waiting for me in CT

After I get #60 via heli anything goes...I won't have a job and I won't care! Just have (20) x 55gal drums of jet A standing by at your place....

No brainer, the '66 all day. It would be interesting to see the position of those jump seats in the '65 after a bumpy ride with occupants. I'd be willing to bet that the outer legs and the fender well would need some attention. It looks nice though.

It looks nice though.

May look nice but not all that original for almost $30K. For that kind of money I would look for a nice late model FJ40 LX or a Late model FJ44, import it and still have money left. I just can help wondering if this auction is on the up and up. Early model FJ40s usally don't bring that kind of money. Groundup's 1973 FJ40 puts this one to shame that one went for under $25K in better times. A vechicle with only 55K that has spent it's life parked in a garage shouldn't have to have the floor replaced. The 66 on the other hand looks like it all original with a few things added to the dash. If I was in the market for a mid sixties FJ40 I would probabaly drive across the valley and take a look.

x2 on the '66. That looks like a real nice rig :)

Actually, if I was in a position to do so at the moment, I'd get that '66 and give it to my wife :princess:

My mantra lately has been "Fix the ones you have" Keeps the buying down to a painful minimum, frees up time to water the lawn...

That's my plan too. The real problem comes when end up buying more to get the parts you just have to have to do it the way you want:bang:

wow that 66 is nice!

Very clean.

Even has the heater :)

I was told that my 64 originally had that color upholstery ( you can even see it in the jumpseats screws )

Is a red fj gonna look good with that coral/brown upholstery?

trying to find photos of that combo :)
