This is all anecdotal. My experience has been my Tesla has been extremely reliable and near zero maintenance. Many are reaching high mileages now with minimal maintenance. Similar to what my peers experience as well. No wonder they are now the best selling cars in the world
Anecdotal for my friends who have purchased, two of which own multiples and all have said they would never go back to ICE.

Even if they all suffered from issues which they did not, nothing could be worse than having bought an LX on Tundra only to find out the engine is going to be replaced. Those owners are stuck with a new car that will never be the same. Nothing can match the work of an assembly line.

Were it me I would sell the car as soon as it was repaired since it is unlikely you can sell before the repair.

I like the GX but I'll be waiting a few years for any issues it has to be identified and fixed.

buddy's tesla got hit in a parking lot and was in rentals for almost 10 months because of parts avail issues/related drama

there's a reason I bought another G5 4R.......parts are readily avail, will be for the next 20 plus years and are reasonably priced

friend just got the new lexus trailhawk(?)...nice car.....camera nags her if she turns her head while talking and she spent HOURS at the dealership trying to fix issues with the credit card form factor key

In my area, they sell parts for MSRP+50-200%
Even if I just need one oil filter, it's cheaper to order from one of the Toyota dealers that sell parts online and pay shipping.

Dare I ask what part off the country/world you're in?

Maybe you need a better relationship with your local Mr T (or Ms T) wrt parts prices.....
Toyota parts, even at a discount, are insane compared to their domestic counterparts. But that's a topic for another thread. Carry on... 😂

They generally are more expensive.....but I've replaced 4 sets of brake pads on a domestic truck that the chinesium backing dissolved on in the same period/fewer miles than a single set on my G5 4R. And that doesnt include my time/irritation at having to do job multiple times for crap reasons

<BMW parts enters the discussion>
Ford parts = cheap, but frequently needed.
Toyota parts = expensive, but infrequently needed.
BMW parts = expensive and frequently needed? Dunno, never owned one

I haven't owned one either, but BMW and Mercedes have a reputation for needing frequent and expensive parts. There is a reason some call it Break My Wallet.
