Thanks guys! Well, when I took my doors and top off I had a little surface rust along the door jamb and on the top lip. I took a wire wheel to it all, primed and painted it with Rustoleum satin black. Looks a whole lot better than the rust spots!I might have missed it....
but what did you do to your door jambs? Looks good whatever it is.
You know red is probably one of my least favorite Cruiser colors but I love the factory white and red combo.
Cool Tim! Yeah, I'm pleased with the lift so far. The tires are 10.5 inches wide. I did not have to lengthen my d-shaft. It seems to be fine. Post pics where your done!Hey thats a great rig!! I just put the same springs on my 82 Bj 42, except for the bezel and engine its a twin of yours! Same problems too!! I have two pair of 4 degree shims out in the shop waiting to go on. Did you have any problems with the driveshaft length? mine is about 2 inches too short now. Also the emergency brake cable needs to be lengthened too. I like the 33' tires too. Have to get a set of those also What width are they?? I'm not set up for pics but my daughter can take some for me . I'll post some as soon as I get everything together. Tim
Thanks! They are stock 40 wheels and I'm really unsure about the years they offered them. Maybe 79-84??? I'm not sure if they will work with drums either. lots of people will know here though. Maybe someone will chime in. Good luck!Nice looking rig, are those stock FJ40 wheels, if so what years where these available and will they work with drums? I have been looking for a set they appear to be the same stock wheels that were on my 85 4runner.
