I just had my first one 2 1/2 weeks ago, a little girl. In nine years, that will her riding around with Daddy and picking out tires for my brown cruiser. Congradulations on the tires and the new baby!!!

Sean,
The tires look like a good match for your 60. Since I run the same tires on my 70, I am biased towards your good choice.

Good luck with the delivery of #2. Your daughter looks like she is at a great age to have a grand time at GSMTR in May. How well does she throw the football? Because Melissa is always looking for someone to play catch with.

Wow they look great. I was under the impression that BFG stopped producing this tire?

where did you find them?

whats the idea behind the skinnies vs. say 12.5's?

mostly a matter of taste, mixed with the occasional fitment issues(they'll fit with no lift).

60's look good with teh pizza cutters.
i have the same tire, on almost the same rim(white not chrome), with 4"s of lift.

they quit making the 33x9.50 mt years ago, but the at's are still available.

I know your going to busy for a while but can you please post a pic of the air bags?

Congrats on the new addition.:D

2 years ago i know the MT's were still available as i ordered 5 in for a customer with a FJ40. that was when i worked at NTB in Grapevine Texas as a service manager. dunno bout now...

congrats!!! it's amazing how tires can change the look of the truck! I just put my firestone destination mt 33x12.5 and love the look of the cruiser with this new tires! pics soon...

i purchased mine at discount tire. great price, great service. make sure you get them siped for a bit more traction :D

hey guys, thanks again for the comments. just got back from the hospital with a healthy baby boy cruiser head.

Although the BFG 33x9.50x15 AT/KO has been discontinued, the best price I found was discounttires.com for $122/ea + $70 shipped from Ca. They said there are still some in stock. I'll get some more pics of the spare once mounted but like D'Animal said, looks like plenty of room for a 33. i'll post my new gas mileage once i burn thru a tank.

Sean,
Congratulations on the son. I hope your wife and son are doing well. What were the specs?

Last year, I needed to buy two replacement tires, because I did not get the alignment on the 70 fixed soon enough, and ran into the 'discontinued' situation. I was able to get mine at Costco for ~$140 and there were no shipping charges. I have become a big fan of the 33x9.5 size for 40 & 70. They both lost a little gearing advantage for the hills, but similarly gained a little on the flats for cruising. At a nominal 2200rpm in 5th, the 70 cruises in the 72-75 range with the 33s so these tires seem to be a nice balance with the truck.

Hope you get to 'stock up' on your sleep before bringing the wife and baby home. Again, congratulations.

Thanks Larry, just got home today all safe and sound. He "Milo" weighed 5lbs 15 oz @ 19-1/2". Been quite a sleeper so far but I'm sure that will change. Has anybody heard from Andy "Goode" about his new arrival? We were both due about the same time.

My next cruiser project is some rear shoulder belts so I can carry the little one in the seat. I've read some threads on this so I've got some options. Thanks guys!

so i went to remove my spare and mount the 33x950 MT and i couldn't figure out where the jack & tire change stuff was. i looked under the hood, in the rear qtr panels, under the tailgate panel & under the truck but nothing! i finally drove to my brother-n-laws house to see if he had everything. bear in mind his 60 has no carpet! he said "its under the drivers seat". the PO of my rig had installed all new carpet and he glued it down under the seat as well. so after cutting & peeling the carpet back i found this.

oh yeah, what the hell is that rubber o-ring for?

oh well, so i just used his tools for now but i need to find a jack & the other 2 tools that get clamped down.

here's some pics of the 33x950 MT. fits fine under the rear with some extra room. possibly even a 35 as D'Animal says. it is a little close to my hitch mount tho.
