After years and years of drooling over all of the early land cruisers, I got one. She’s rough but she was local and not going to be saved.

The good:
1964 year. Only has the block. Has the short running boards, the small rear view mirror, horns, wiper motors, original front and troop seats.
The bad:
Rust, Bondo, it needs a ton before it’ll be back on the road.

I’ll keep my eye on cheap used parts to repurpose and chip away at her!

Sounds like it may be a 1963 titled as a 64. What’s the VIN?

And you’re not going to make us ask you for more pictures are you?

Some initial pics.

Two different Kioto’s. Which is older?

Lol. And I forgot this one has a complete motor. It’s stuck though and has the wrong carb. I have an SD40 to slap in though.

What are your plans for this truck? Get it driving, frame off restore, ect... Just curious. Let me know what you need Daniel. I am sure I will have parts for you..

Thanks Gabe. This girl is fairly rough but mostly complete. I plan in seeing if the motor is salvageable first. Then, clean it up and see what I have. Definitely not putting a lot of money into her. I’ll absolutely hit you up to see if you have parts that I’ll need.

No. She only has what’s in the photos. Before I start searching and buying parts, want to see if I can free up the motor.

I have a few bits lying around. Just not there yet. So, judging by the Louisiana tag, last registered in ‘85! She was 21 years old then. I really hope to wake her from an almost 35 year slumber.

Also: the vin is 4-FJ40-22994 making it a January of 1964 cruiser.

I might look for an E-67 tub and frame.... Especially since there no title and lots of rust.

Congrats!
You are my elder. My vin is 4-FJ40-23103, 109 trucks down the line. Also a Jan. '64 truck, a little later in the month. Mine was plated as a 1965 model.
