Monthly Meeting Feb 7 5PM @ Bob's Small Town Grill in Royston GA
UC is going to have a monthly meeting on Feb 7th 5 PM at Bob's Small Town Grill in Royston GA. Bob Adamson is a UC member and an awesome chef.

His restaurant is located at 363 Railroad St Royston,
GA 30662. His restaurant seats 54 with the bar, tables, and booths. He is going to set for 20 people but it would help him if we could give him a # of attendees so please post up if you can make it.

Prices range from as low as 6.50 to 8.95 for sandwiches and up to 24.95 (for the largest steaks), with shrimp, trout, and pasta dishes in the $12-15 range. Most include a salad and a side item and half orders are cheaper. He serves the usual non alcoholic beverages
as well as a good selection of beer and wine. They do have some kid menu items too.

There is also going to be a small raffle courtesy of Bob! The person who travels the farthest will get a prize and someone will get a free meal! (but you won't find out until AFTER you order!)

Bob is working on getting the road temporarily closed in front of his restaurant so we can get a good group Cruiser shot.

Who might make it:
Chuck +1
Marshall +2
Steen +1
Alex
J-Bo +1
JP maybe
Heather maybe
Dave +?
Rick +1?
Coach +1
Doc
Heather +1
Bill +1

Here are some pics Bob sent along.

Can't make it, will have the boys and we have ice skating and hockey lessons.

OK, folks...I have a conflict. Of course, it's the meeting that is closest to me, but that is also the day that SFWDA has their leadership meeting in Chattanooga. I REALLY want to go to Royston (more fun), but I probably need to go to SFWDA to deal with Rescue Tellico stuff. CRAP.

I'll think about it...but for now I am a maybe.

Thanks for all you do Heather! Without your guidance we'd just be a bunch of rednecks who like to get dirty with no regard to the effects on our enviornment.

Well, we're still a bunch of rednecks!:p

Well I am late to the party as usual, thanks for the nice words.

Alex, I think I would lose more customers than gain if I put "Buckwheat the 5 legged Donkey" on the window.

I am a total internet dork, I will try to post a copy of the current menu on this thread. I am hoping to have a new menu out soon.

Here are a few items on the menu:

Blackened salmon BLT on grilled Sour Dough with a garlic cumin lime mayo
philly Cheesesteak with oregano/whorstershire, lettuce tomatoes, (of course cheese) and Mayo
pan seared saku tuna with lettuce tomato, wasabi mayo
lobster ravioli with sundried tomato cream sauce
a wonderful 14 oz rib eye, more liek 16oz with fat
blackened chicken quesadilla with peppers and onions, mozzerella
grilled steak quesadilla, cheddar/onion
fresh salmon,
blackened shrimp,
shirmp scampi
steak salad, grilled steak, balsamic marinated purple onions, radish, carrots, toms, lettuce, croutons,
cobb salad, grilled honey mustard chicken breast, lettuce, tom, hard boiled egg, croutons
hot turkey sandwich with 1000 island, let, tom, melted swiss, cranberry relish on a hot hoagie
buffalo chicken sand, texas pete marinated chix breast on a hoagie with white american/swiss/bleu chez
a few wonderful pastas, try them baked and you will really enjoy it.

I dont know if it was mentioned, but we serve beer and wine too.

Anyone talk to Doc?

Bring your cruiser so I can get some good pictures, I am really excited about this.

Thanks again!! oh yea the phone number is 706 245 5255 incase you need help getting there, aparrently mapquest is kind of quirky, we are on the one way street of Railroad street, a newly paved section with an old timey looking sidewalk/inlaid brick and 1920's style lights, 16ft wide

So who from the Charlotte area wants to ride in the 62? Shoot me a PM. If for no other reason than to keep me awake on the drive back.

If you want to ride with me there are two things you should know:

1) I talk lots of ****
2) I'm really good at getting big rigs to sound the horn

Oh, wait...three things:

3) I lie all the time (this usually only helps around the campfire)

I think me and the family are gonna go. I talked to the wife and she had a good time in waynesville and wants to go again. If we end up staying late we may get a hotel for the night and bum around town some to see the area. Will let you know the closer we get as plans get nailled down.

Dave

sounds like a plan- I will run it by my war dept- I may be going solo though.

Sounds good. Kayla already asked if your daughter was gonna be there. Think those 2 hit it off pretty well .....
Dave

Juice, as of now, I'm traveling alone (wife and son sitting this one out). I'll update if any UC members from Charlotte area want to ride together.

Linda and I are in. Probably get to town early and wander around for a bit before dinner.

Looking forward to it!
