Does anyone know if one can still source a full front factory vinyl floor mat for the 70 Series? Or even the front carpet? Ours is completely worn through on the driver's side and I don't just want to cover it up with a generic mat.

Thanks for any info!

Jonathan

Been working thru this for the same truck(and a later model 79)....try Megazip.com.

Edit: went from 3 available down to only one available in a matter of minutes so you better hurry

What do you expect? You post a link here and a bunch of people order up. =)

There are companies in Australia that make full aftermarket carpet for the rear and front. This seller has them in 12 colours

Although its easy and cheap to buy some outdoor carpet and DIY. It will last 10 times longer than the plastic krap Toyota use.

I find a lot of cool stuff in Australia.....always RHD which is a bummer.

When I was entertaining using carpet there was a company that offered LHD stuff (or so they said via email) and would ship to the US (both rare finds for AUS).

Don't know of their quality but here they are:

I know Cruiser Parts has some new take out 76 vinyl flooring which would work nicely.

Ah....Knox is who is the seller in the ebay listing in the link.

79 is what he would need for the front of a 75 I think. I bought one from them this week...there stuff is LHD 07-18 takeout.....so it should be cut for the bracing that goes to the floor on the airbag dash.

The great thing about a 79 series is that it is a shorter version of the 76 series. Yes a little modification is needed but a 76 series floor will sit nicely in a 79 series cab. RHD vs LHD is a different story but not too crazy.

I believe that the troopy and the pu share the same front floor right up to behind the front seats but the 76/77 has the same floorplan as the swb and mwb 7x cruisers , at least that is how the front seats are interchangeable between the models and also the fuel tank orientation because Pu and Troopy have a fuel tank mid wheelbase and the others have them at the back thus a different hump under the front seats and a different shape floor mat.

Kind of what I was thinking....my 76 seats aren't even close to fitting in the 79 cab.....way way different mounts. What is pretty cool is that I was able to take the mounts(and tracks) off the old 75 seats, weld them onto the bases of the 76 seats and make them fit the 75....or the 79. Side by side, the 75 and 79 front floors are nearly identical except for shifter tunnel opening...which can be changed with a different top plate.

I am always thinking double cabs. I have used the the 76 floors on a few double cab trucks with no issues, however they don't have the fuel tank under the cab like the single cab.

The RHD floors were still showing available for 75 series in Japan a couple months ago when I was searching.
