Extended brake lines. Which one am I missing? (1 Viewer)

I’m finally getting around to installing some extended brake lines in preparation for a 4” lift. Based on various threads I ordered 3 OEM brake lines (pic 1) originally equipped on a tundra. I crawled under my rig but I can only identify 2 lines that need to be extended - a line on the front passenger side (pic 2) and a line just over the center rear diff (pic 3). I thought there was another in the rear that needed extending. Which one am I missing?

I have these as well. Might install tomorrow between another project. Do you know which of the four axle to caliper go to which? They are not labeled, and im assuming yours aren't either because we have the same set

Just FYI had that set, and both rear caliper to axle were two short, they didn’t really seem to care and I got them as a gift, so I didn’t press the issue, but they def were not right.

Ok. Good to know. . but which are the two rear? the longer ones? and if so. is the longer of the two the rear DS?

The two rears I believe are the same size, just compare to what you pull off, mine were bout inch to short. I just bought Slee’s instead they cost few bucks more but they actually give a s***

I haven't installed mine yet but that's interesting to hear. I really hope this has been addressed. I just received my set in December.

Me too. I have heard a few bad reviews about MAF from back in the day. I also heard that its under new management, Ive ordered a few its from them without a problem. A one time I ordered a product and they called me to ensure it was the right piece. Even asked me to send a picture to his personal email.

So yeah. I hope this was from a different time and things changed.

Thank you. I probably should change the axle to caliper lines but those aren’t limiting factors for my 4” lift plans and I don’t have them right now anyway. But it sounds like I should like closer at the front axle for the 3rd line that needs extending.

I'm planning on going 4" tomorrow and adding 37s

All 4 calipers use banjo fittings and the length of the caliper lines are the same from left to right.
The only brake lines that need to be extended are the 3 axle drops. 2 for the front axle, 1 for the rear axle.
I also suggest sticking with OEM lines. Joey has all you need.
Don't screw around with brakes. Get the correct parts.

The only brake lines that need to be extended are the 3 axle drops. 2 for the front axle, 1 for the rear axle.
I also suggest sticking with OEM lines. Joey has all you need.

Joey also gives you the Toyota part numbers on his site, so you can purchase them from any Toyota dealer. He just makes it easier for you and sells it as a kit.
You should also have new copper washers and new banjo bolts at the ready.
90430-10074 copper washers. You need 8.
90401-10015 banjo bolt. You need 4.

I got the three lines replaced. As with any project you have never attempted it takes longer than you thought. I needed a 17mm wrench. Would have preferred a stubby size but full sized worked and a 10mm brake wrench. A regular 10mm wrench could have worked but I didn’t want to risk damage. On the lines with male and female ends start with the female end. Loosen it up then pull the metal clip that locks it into the bracket. Then take off the male end. Reverse order to reinstall. Filled the brake fluid back up because pretty much all of it leaked out but didn’t have time to bleed them yet. Work called.

It has a magnet that does a good job from keeping it from rolling off like an old Gatorade bottle and it has a check valve so you technically don’t have to have the drain hose above the bleeder valve although the magnet makes it easy to position the bottle so you do have that redundant high spot in the hose.

I was a bit paranoid about the LSPV so my bleeding order looked like this: LSPV, RR, LR, LSPV, FR, FL, LSPV. The pedal feels good. Got it out on a gravel road to activate the ABS a couple times. I’m going to let it sit a day and bleed it once more just in case there are any small bubbles in the system.

I attempted to. On the passenger side got one end loose (no problem), then the next end I stripped. Put it back together with original line, then moved to the rear. Center extension on. Went back to the front, attempted to loosen but didn't want to stop the bolt. . .moved on to a different project lol. I think imma let a pro finish the job.
