Watched this video earlier today. Have always loved your rig and great to see it perform so damn well.
Same. I’m like it’s cool to see forum cars specially ones you admire actually putting in work. Was that @Nay too?

Looking like mine .

That’s a great video, thank for sharing.

RUBITHON 2024

First time running a Rubithon event. Had a great time and definitely will be back. I did the 4Runner/Mini Truck run which is a straight shot to the Springs in one day with minimal stopping & spotting. Didn't take a lot of pics but the Stellar Built guys who were also in this run are putting together a pretty cool video of our run.

That’s pretty cool! I’ll have to catch you guys on one of these runs one day

@jcardona1 when are the 40’s going on :grinpimp: .

One of my sons has a first gen Sequoia he’s been tearing apart to build like the Moscow Mule, already has the same one tons. Much inspiration there, I need to not watch stuff like that…

Seeing that thing out there gave me the same bad ideas for my wife's Sequoia.

He long traveled it with a customized setup from Solo Motorsports, but the stub shaft in that 7.5” front diff blew so he abandoned it and started the one-ton project (which as is usually the case stalls if you can’t pay somebody to do it). But here you go anyway - the Moscow Mule is a prototype build for one of these.

Tempting, but I don't think I'll get 40s for this truck. They're just too big for the stock axles IMO and have the fender cutting dialed in pretty good with the up travel.

StellarBuilt has a new YouTube series called "Rig Check". My truck was featured in episode #9. Check it out! Save yourself from going through 150 pages of my build thread :)

Same here - I have 38’s dialed with almost no trimming and I don’t want to hack it up. I’ve always thought that it’s difficult to exceed the base design of a rig and the goal is optimization.

Your rig is a great example of that - mine is almost the opposite in terms of leveraging the factory stuff in a “min/max” design approach. Always love to see what you are up to, it helps me leave well enough alone :grinpimp:.

REAR HATCH LIGHT

Several years ago I installed an old Camry dome light on the rear tailgate hatch to provide some additional lighting. It worked okay but wasn't great. Wanted to increase the light output but I needed something that was low profile since my fridge sits right up against the hatch when it's closed. Found these RV/camper lights on Amazon on they worked out perfect! $35 for a pair, dimmable, and 3 color temps. The light output is amazing. The frame is white plastic so I painted them in SEM Monterrey to match the interior trim. I already had wiring in the hatch from years ago so installation was a breeze. The wiring taps into the 3rd dome light in the cab.

NEW WINDSHIELD

My windshield has had a massive crack going across since the day I bought the truck. One of those things I always kept putting off. I notice the windshield was starting to leak up top so it was time to finally get it addressed. Bought the OEM gasket and found a shop in Folsom, CA that specializes in classics and was very familiar with how to properly install and seal the Land Cruiser windshield, doing it just like the FSM specifies. If you guys need a windshield replacement in the Sacramento area, highly recommend Noah at Dasher's Garage.

RUBICON 2024 ROUND 2 (and misc)

Never posted these pics, but in addition to the Rubithon in June we did another trip later in August with a great group of folks and even cooler rigs.

Nice updates, what brand of windshield did you go with? I hope I can find a shop similar to one you found, jackpot!

If I add some more lights can I run with the Big Boys 😂

Looks like you guys had a great trip !

Not sure what brand of aftermarket glass he uses, didn't even think to ask.

Just quads :)

Forgot all about this video! During our August trip we had Josh Walker from onX OffRoad come along and he made this cool video clip. Too bad it's only 30 seconds, he has a ton of footage.
