I am gauging the worth of a nearly new Land Cruiser 105..
Bought this in Sweden, where the Swedish army has used it as a communicationcar.
But they used it barely, because there's 25.000km (16.000 miles) on the clock. (backed with maintenance registration)
I am in the Netherlands and before I make a lot of pictures to make it sellable in (for example north America), I want to know what these cars do overseas.
I aim this thing around $50.000, due to its extreme low miles and rare condition.
How reasenable is this?

This is one of those rare 2003 HZJ105 Series Land Cruisers, with a solid front axle, that is powered by the 4.2 Liter Inline 6 Diesel 1HZ Engine. The Swedish army build a lot of extra's on it, like a turbo to increase horsepowers. Professionaly done according to my mechanic.
This guy went crazy when he inspected the car. He has seen lots of 80's and 100's and he even races them.
But he has never seen an 80/100 that feels as new as this one...

1HZ engine with turbo.
ARB front and rear axle lockers
ARB aircompressor, for front and rear axle ARB lockers, incl extra air connection
Warn winch with 12v and 24v switch.
Optima batteries, with power switches in the interior.
Little war lights front and rear
Switch between original lightning and war lights.
Switch to dim the brakelights
TJM steel bumpers front and rear
TJM skid plates (engine protection)
Reinforced springs and dampers (incl. shock absorber protectors) probably adjustable)
Roofrack with lights. Switches for front, rear and side in the interior. All working.
Air inlet for overpressure in cabin
Rock hard, no rust present..
Engine runs like new.
The original rotors and brake pads are still mounted.
No rattles, no bangs, nothing.

Love it! Please give us some more pictures. What's the inside look like?

I am careful with the crappy pictures I have now.
When I know the value and have a plan, I'll order a professional photographer to make this thing visible to the max :)

I'm thinking the 25 year rule is an issue with bringing it to the US

manual or automatic?

A manual. All 105's are manual.
Added into title.

Yes, you have to wait some months before you can drive it legally on the road, but you can just bring it into the USA without problems.
But I think there isn't another 105 with 16k on the clock...

No, you cannot import it unless it's 25-years or older based on date of manufacture.

If you try to import it, custom will put a hold on it, and force you to ship it back to the place you shipped it from (no redirected shipping to Canada).

Also, If not original, the takes away from value, so turbo, port in the back door, holes in the roof, ladder on the back, etc. are not desirable except to a select few.

Also, is it a G or GX trim level? ...cloth or vinyl seats? Air-conditioning? Sub tank? Lots of questions unanswered that impact value.

Very curious on what the interior looks like. In my experience with military modded vehicles, the interiors are often butchered to install radios and other equipment. To the right buyer it won't make a difference, but it will make all the difference on what you can get for it price wise. Unfortunately your market in North America won't include the US until 2028. I'm sure there are plenty of Canadians that would want to scoop up a low mileage 105, given their 100s have all rusted to pieces by now.

Personally I think this will be a hard sell at $50k based on the paint and possible wiring mess leftover from the military and communication use and the fact that it sat a lot.

Ya it’s not really useful to anyone except those needing the armor.

🤷‍♂️

Cheers

Not all 105s are manual. We had them at our embassy and they were auto.
