Thank you for the offer. I might take you up on that. Been busy trying to raise money for the Tsumani Relief. Hope to get a chance to check out the car in the next day or two and hopefully the weather will get a little warmer too!

I think "Doc" is from Iowa as well. You might PM him and see if he's done the starter thing before. And, as others have said, even if you end up going to the dealer to put in a new starter, buy the starter from Cruiserdan, it will save you $ on both the part and sales tax since you're out of state. You can PM him for a quote.

Doug- you're out of luck. Last year was the 'retirement' of the butter cow. The lady got tired of doing it- or too old, I forget which.

Short version- I have a spare set of contacts, and can help, but work during the week and would not be able to make it down until the weekend. (live in fort dodge!)

Not that it matters but I grew up in Iowa City Iowa. I moved away when I was 12 years old and that was a long time ago.
