Hood insulator and clip part numbers.

I did virtually the same thing, LED lights and new hood liner as mine didn't even have any ratty old remnants. Really makes a huge difference on how solid the hood feels and sounds when closing and running.

I think I spent ca. $250 for hood liner and clips and went local because shipping would have been $$. The hood liner weighs almost nothing but it's a large awkward size.
Where did you order the hood liner and lights from?
Looks great by the way.

Moved the lights to the front edge of the hood. There is sufficient overhang of the front of the hood that the lights will not contact anything with the hood closed.

Night shot of illuminated engine bay to follow.

Nice, I like the tilt switch feature. I need to put that on the list of things to do for mine. I used the flat LED adhesive strip lights, 2 on the front inside lip and one down each side each about 12-14" long. It gives good lighting without shadows.

Love mine, but for some reason they won't come on now. No idea what changed, fuse is fine, switch is on.

Could the level switch have gone out? Guess I need to get out there with a multimeter and see what I can find.

Regardless, they are a great piece of kit. Makes working at night a LOT nicer.

Got my kit as well as the LED cargo and some lights. Looking forward to the install.

I have noticed that the tilt switch seems to "stick" and that to get the lights on I have to tap it.

I'm thinking I might need to buy 2.

Any reason this same kit wouldn't work on the rear cargo hatch to light up the tailgate?

How did you wire it in? I see you have a fuse box/panel in the engine compartment.

You can wire directly to the battery. I've put in a second panel to clean up extra wiring under the hood and wired the light to that.

I've had the same thought and it would work but there there would be an excess of wiring and I would not want it with the tilt switch.

Actually talked with Rob this morning about developing a rear cargo light kit for the 60 and 80.

I agree with you on the tilt switch. I am thinking small rocker switch on the D pillar.

I have also thought about just mounting an extra 60-series dome light on the hatch for that purpose. They are plenty bright with LED replacements and the three-way switch on the fixture could function just like the interior lights with the addition of the tilt switch or a pin switch.

Rob has a 60 and 80 Series in the shop to use as templates if the lift gate lighting system demand is adequate. :)

Got mine installed this morning, hardest part was drilling holes in weird positions for mounting stuff.
I modified it a bit as well, I added a connector between the relay and tilt switch so I can remove the hood without undoing any of it (I’m pulling my engine next weekend).

Very satisfied with the light output in the well lit shop, very excited to try it at night. I positioned my lights as it’s instructed in the manual and they just barely clear the core support.
