Everyone:

My turn signal switch is giving up the ghost (1974 FJ55). Looking online, it appears replacements are still available from Toyota, but I don't understand why there are a couple versions offered. Here's an example, and a screenshot below:

Note the same applies to the wiper, hazard, etc. - multiple versions listed. Can anyone help clarify the difference and/or which I should select? Wondering if the differences are major (e.g. wrong connectors!) or minor (e.g. font on the knob).

Thanks.

Thanks Jim. I do indeed have the dimmer option built into that switch itself (flick forward for bright). How did/do you decipher the part numbers and that functionality? Any way to make sense of the other switch versions as well? Really appreciate the intel.

For what its worth, I was able to take my switch apart clean the contacts, replace the tiny ball bearings inside, and put new dielectric grease inside. It now operates like new. Mine is from a ‘69 so it may be different than yours.

Ah! Is that essentially it? Still confused by the multiple offerings on ALL the switches (e.g. the Hazard). There must be a cheat sheet, somewhere, that describes the differences.

I used a newer column , and just made a jumper wire to go from the old 3 flat pin connecter to the new square one ,
