Has anyone run into this? I installed the unit from city racer, haven’t wired it up yet but my ignition is rotated and not in the correct position. I don’t see any way to rotate it. The motor hits the fuse box. I can’t install it any other way, so I’m wondering if the Column is adjustable in rotation? Has anybody done one of these?

I know with my 40 I’m going to have to do some modifications with the metal adjacent to the fuse box but the instructions state this.

My BJ45 is tucked nicely and fits great and my intent was to do the same with the 69 Pig.

Do the instructions mention any under dash mods for the 55, I assume if they did you would have done them.

Yeah I found them to be a little lacking also. I know they are in the Netherlands but maybe reach out to them. One of the small problems having a pig with few having done this upgrade.

Sorry couldn't help more, I can attest that its a great upgrade and we love it on our BJ45.

I used a system from EPowersteering and it didn't limit me on how it clocked on the stock steering column. Where it is cut into the column {closer to the pedals} will effect location of rotation

Adding electric steering is a major game changer. Extremely smooth and no issues off road.

The only thing I noticed is the shaft hits the connecting piece of the defrost vent. I will need to drop the column back down and cut and turn the connection so the hose can be re-connected. Also, mounting the brain box on the firewall as instructed in the pictures doesn’t work, the wires are not long enough to reach that location. I ended up mounting on to the sidewall by the hood latch. Worked out. I think it’s better as it’s a little more protected than in the path of your feet.

Love some pics?

Got the wilwood front brakes completed and finally pulled the cruiser out of the shop. The electric power steering is night and day difference. Even with the 33” tires and smaller steering wheel it’s smooth and easy. I ended up replacing all the linkage in the front end as well (all stock stuff from btb). Glad to have it rolling again. I think I’ll take it to a shop and have the rear brakes put on as I’m just not that comfortable with the process of opening up the rear end. The 2f engine purrs like a kitten with the new carb (eBay) and the Mosley radiator. It’s so quiet and smooth I’m considering scrapping the whole engine swap idea for awhile. Anyway. Couple milestones completed for me.

if your capable of adding the electric steering, and doing discs up front. rear disc is a easy conversion. the jt kit is super simple. the rear axle is really quite easy to take down as far as you need for the conversion kit. it's about a 4 hour process start to finish for the rear disc conversion. plus then you have the and time and flat ground to take it apart and gain the knowledge Incase you ever have to drop a rear end out in the trails for any reason. if you do go jt kit there instructions are not worth much either.

Finished the back brake conversion. It has its challenges and I'm still not convinced its correct. What little pictures I can find online, the brakes are in the back of the disc, but the caliper bolts hit the leaf springs and prevent it from coming together. I was able to get everything installed, but had to assemble the caliper on the bracket then slide the bracket in place and bolt in. Everything works, and I'll probably never have to deal with it again, at this point not sure I'll even drive it enough to ever wear out the pads.

I took it for a drive down the street (standard no windows, doors swinging open on their own, no tailgate, bed full of parts drive). Brakes work great and the electric power steering is amazing. Feels like a new car, so easy to turn the 33" tires and solid, no play in the wheel. Love that modification.
