So I’m wondering how many of you use ECT and how you use it. I’ve never used it, even when towing but after using it the last few days for normal driving it seems like a new LC. Placebo??

I’ll be towing next week so definitely going to try it out.

I use it 100% of the time, I am on 35s and stock gears. I like it bc it will downshift quicker.

I also use ECT Power 100% of the time - less hunting for a gear on hills, and feels like more positive shifts.

Always when towing.

I use it most of the time around town. It’s about as close to go kart responsiveness as you can get in a 7000 lb truck. I prefer the truck holding gears long and downshifting sooner.

I turn it off when my kids drive the truck because they have less finesse on the throttle and will easily launch us off the line.

Note I’m on 35s with 4.88s.

Uset it when I want faster response. When I'm in no hurry it's off as it does eat more gas.

That has not been my experience...

I have a 2016 and feel like when I have it on my 8spd shifts somewhat better from 1-2… so it stays on most of the time.

When I had my 2008 LC I used it all the time. I now have a 2013 LX and I never use it. Seems like the LX has a more aggressive throttle mapping than the LC.

Off most of the time. I actually really experimented with it last week for the first time after I got my 4.88's broken in and took a long road trip. I like the way the truck drives better with it on, but it's hard not to jump jerkily off the line when the stoplight changes, which is a vocal complaint from the wife, so I switched it back off.

I like how the truck drives with ECT on so I tend to leave it on most of the time. It feels like it shifts better and is slightly more peppy. Gas mileage is always poor so… smiles per gallon it is

Great when towing.

Off otherwise as the throttle tip in is too aggressive and it's like a teenager learning to drive stick.

I can see it may be useful for a rig on 33"+ tires with stock gearing.

I have a 2020 LC and use ECT power but I really dont feel a difference in driving. I guess its similar to Tow/Haul, which I use in my Tundra and turns it into beast mode.
