Has anyone purchased any of EBI products and if so, how was the quality. I've sent an email to them and no response. Their website leaves a lot to be desired. How are the products through Real Steel? Again, no response to my email.

Now that I've removed 40 pounds of bondo, I have a lot of panels, etc., that will need replacing, or just replace the whole 1/2 tub.

Thanks,

Dennis

I havent used EBI for a tub or patch panels but I imagine they are good quality, same as much of the other parts they sell. I am also located in Canada so can't personally speak to shipping, but I know he does ship all over.

Other options for full tubs is Aqualu or Teseven

Thanks. Don't want to go aluminum. I'd hate to think what shipping would be from France. Have a Happy New Year!

I have a set of quarter panels I bought from real steel (haven't gotten around to installing them though). I'm really happy with the quality, on its face value, but I can't yet speak to fitment. Holding it up to my cut up quarters seems to show they are a great match up. They are 16ga steel like the original body on my '68, quite sturdy. Shipping was about $80 to me in Phoenix.

I tried to get EBI. For months they told me they were waiting to get steel. Finally gave up and got Real Steel. Very happy with their products.

You deffinatly have to call him directly. Only gotten small parts shipped from him. If your looking for sheet metal i would look elsewhere took forever to get OE front fenders. Ended up building all my parts from sheet metal. If i was in the states i would have considered real steal.

^^^x2. Call them directly. I only buy parts. Not sheet metal.

Can you post the EBI link?

Steve is a stand up guy I’d not hesitate to buy from him. He’s busy at the shop and knows his stuff. I’d call him directly.

My first 40 I bought 16 years ago when I was 20 came with a giant EBI sticker in the windshield. I left it in there till I replaced the windshield. Still have that cruiser and manny others now.

Does anyone know where EBI gets their tubs from? They are priced right. You're right, their web site is less than minimal.

Not a lot of info on their website. As to where - exactly my question. Prices look attractive. Kind of thinking because of the Canadian/US dollar exchange as part of that.I think $1 US = about $1.30 Canadian.

Workingdog - I'm going to call Steve Monday, January 6th. I'll pass on any information I learn. IF I like what I hear, he's looking at an order for 1/2 tub, full front pan, inner/outer rocker panels and running boards. Luckily, the front half of this rig is in good shape.

Still need a good inexpensive source for rain gutters, although leaning towards CCOT. Hopefully, once I remove all the gunk off the roof, it'll be in good shape. Yeah, wouldn't hold my breath on that.

At least the running gear is solid. Still working on electrical as there is a short that drains the battery after about 2-3 days.

Workingdog - I don't know what I was thinking. Contribute it to a senior moment - 72 and going strong! I'm calling Steve tomorrow 01/02/20.

Pulled the transmission cover today. UGH!!! I'd love to get a break on this rig. Driver's side is seriously rusted on the cover. I'll have to give this some thought as to how to proceed. Haven't seen any transmission cover replacements, so that's a bit concerning.
