**The OFFICIAL** R1 Concepts EBAY Rotor Review!!! - The Audizine Forums

here is a post I found on an installed pair

some for some against but they are AUDI guys talking about cracking after a track day I doubt we would heat up our brakes like that in our 40's

be interested if anyone has any more info seems a good price but then again I haven't priced others

IME, all these vents and slots do is fill with mud and become a starting point for defects.

My thoughts are that if our vehicles needs that bling then they would have come with it.

One can buy OE for right about that at full retail.

vented

yes I could see that seems little rocks in the holes could wreak havoc with the pads

Im not sure about this company but Ive read that drilled and slotted rotors are throw backs, that had defects, otherwise they would be drilled or slotted but not both. Just some morning hear-say:p

Good link, Troll. I'm gonna save that one for future reference. I paid WAY more than that at the dealer even with a pretty steep discount.

What is their delivery/customer support like? Bought anything from them?

Vented is good. Slotting and drilling is not. Just asking for something to get in there.

You want cheap.

Yes, thanks for that link Troll. I have been thinking about changing to this type of rotor the next time I need them. The last time I replaced my pads (in 1999 when my cruiser was still alive) I remember that the rotors looked like they were turned to their last use.

Have had good luck with them. Shipping is free with something like 50 dollars worth. Part I like is they sell Aisin products. They don't have everything and most things I'd rather have OEM but they are a good alternative and a good barometer of what the prices should be. I have quite a few of these vendors in the link in my sig.

Thank you yet again.

I thought it was just a colorful sig line.;)

I need to learn to pay attention.

The engineers at DBA ( disc brake austrailia ) who make plain, slotted, and drilled have told me the slotted have merit but the drilled are purely an appearance thing, no real value. Slotted does shed water faster , although drilled won't hurt anything but has no real performance value.
