I imagine you were able to use the original radio brackets as well.

Yes Cruiser Dan, the Japanese have there stuff, very much in order.
I was able to remove the two side brackets from the factory radio and cassette, and attach these directly to the new Sony stereo (in the provided holes).
I then bolted the new stereo, straight back into the dash of the Battle Cruiser, via the original 4 mounting bolt holes.
FYI, despite the instruction manual suggesting the use of the RCA plugs for new rear speaker plugs (at the rear of the new stereo), this did not work.
After initially wiring the new rear speakers into the stereo, via these RCA plugs, I removed these and wired the speakers, directly into the accessory wiring harness. And Bingo, I now have a great 4 speaker sound system, for the new stereo!

Thread revival.
Finally getting ready to upgrade from an old Supertuner III to something with BT! Single DIN. My cubby is above my radio. @dieseldog had a 24v to 12v step down added to the 24v truck ages ago and it continues to function as it should. It is always hot so I just always need to ensure I turn the radio off when I park.
I do need front speakers badly as the OEM ones are barely doing anything at this point but tearing most of the dash out is just not appealing to me right now.
