With marks adapter to keep the transfer case with a GM swap being only $200 cheaper, I'D go with the doubler I'd ever ever get around to swapping the engine. I can't seem to find a split case and would rather keep my awd.

X2

Now isn't the doubler a 2 part system with one half being for the tranny and the other the Tcase? seems like if it is, an adapter for the Toyota tranny should follow shortly unless they're working on that too... I only got info for the LS swap since that's what I will be doing this winter.

It seems this project is a bit "back burner". Any word from Northwest Fab on progress? I'm still interested t hear how this goes.

Called NWF last week..A440F black box is the only compatible Landcruiser factory transmission option..The 440 box will run in to the gas tank a couple inches..The 440 black box is primarily for 60 series, as NWF is still working on anecdotes for black boxes to work in 80 series, such as, move this here, cut that, BFH this, and etc. Having said all of that, NWF is looking at fitting a box for the 442, and 343 in the 80 series..Super busy and will move forward on the 80 series projects in the fall..NWF recognizes the demand, and is still making plans to come with an 80 series project.*

*This post may not be accurate, I have horrible listening skills, am delusional, and in no way represent NWF, even though I would like to, they seemed super cool

Anyway, I am ordering an A440F black box, and am going to run a split case. I've got a wanted ad for a 440 core to go to Level 10 in NJ, which is another post, so I digress. The only problem I can foresee is blowing myself up when I dork with the tank, which isn't that big of a deal, I already blew my face off one time trying to start a Scout I had with too much ether down the carb.

Looking for an A442F output shaft to send to NWF. Since the last post I found out the 440 doesn't mate to the 1HDT, or at least one I could source. I have a A442F from a 1HDT purchased from @Radd Cruisers. Now all I need is the black box to mate the A442F to the split case (that is getting a rebuild kit from @cruiseroutfit ). It seems I may have harassed NWF enough to get this done..At least they told me there was a ticket for this build on their queue! Per NWF, if someone can send them the shaft, they can check the box input fitment, and we're good to go for all things A442F.

Wanted: - A442F output shaft part no. 3507360020 will pay shipping to NWF in Canada

So NWF is looking at making a black box that will bolt to the h2fa tcase?

Here's some comparisons between what I think is the difference between gas and diesel A442F trans. There was another thread that included pics that IIRC showed a gas and diesel 442F bell were different. (could be mistaken). Parts gurus could clarify but it does appear that the parts are different between the gas and diesel?

The output on the diesel I measured with calipers (rough measure) is:

34.5mm OD

length of shaft using this measurement: 65.97mm

interior threaded section of output end: 8.05mm

i just want to bump this thread to underscore what a disappointment nwf has been on this project

Sent them an email a few months not too long ago asking for an update...crickets.

@jcardona1 I was just about to post the same thing! I was checking NWF's website yesterday, and 80 series land cruiser is in the drop down selections. I called on my drive home from work and got the same info you did. It's practically here.
