Narrowed it down to two colors: Stock silver or Jeep anvil.

Thoughts/feedback much appreciated.

Stock color.

oops. didn't see the poll at the top of this page. I'll add some tech

If you keep the stock color you won't have to paint the door jambs :D

ANVIL!!!!! Yes stock is great but that color and finish is so badass it belongs on a 60.

Look past the Jeep (although in the grand scheme of things, Jeeps are pretty cool compared to what anyone else is making these days)

Trust your gut, you know you want it this color.

S,
Think you know my vote...Silver is my favorite stock color. If I had been able to find one in as good of condition as the mine but silver (so basically yours) it’d still be silver instead of the color change I did. First it’ll just be an easier paint job for the same quality work (ie save some $). I would still have them pull all the glass (good to really get in everywhere and double check for hidden rust just in case, remove all the hardware including door handles, locks, etc. I would also recommend still having the fenders pulled so that they can put new seam sealer on under there…also to check for rust. Biggest reason for staying silver (on top of a great color) is you don’t have to worry about the door jambs, and more importantly the firewall and inner fenders.

then again having a one of a kind color on your FJ60 is pretty cool. HA!
And truth be told...Anvil made it into my top 3 when I was thinking of what color to go with. :)

I have a silver 60, so I'm biased to keep it stock. But, I have to hand it to Jeep, that anvil color is pretty bad ass. I vote stock. Silver 60's are the best!

Silver is the best. Totally not biased. ;)
...but if your willing to go to the lengths to do a full color change the right way, (paint everyyyyythingggg. firewall, door jambs, interior, etc. ...), then I'd say the anvil wins hands down. Unique is COOL.

Ha, I just got my wheels back from powder coat in preparation for painting my 62 a very similar gray this January.

If you are keeping your truck nice, go stock silver. If you plan to build it and beat it, paint as you wish...
Maybe we'll start something here...

Look at the Scion color "cement" at least it's a Toyota color.

Anvil looks toxic, like some stomach soothing slime or something...Not blue, not grey, not cyan.. It's an unnatural color that goes against nature. A color one might expect to find at the bottom of a render vat...not painted on a car.

Ha! don't hold back... tell us how you really feel...:)

I got to admit Anvil is pretty nice. I've painted lots of silver and it always a pain to match when you smash a fender I guess that's silver with a lot of metallic in it and I think the stock Toyota silver is fairly plain. If I was doing a complete color change I'd go with the Anvil.

Don't be afraid to go non-stock. Silver is a safe choice but it's fun to stretch out and do something unique. It's only paint!
