@crikeymike

Can you expand details on these springs? All the others have an additional load rating.

Rear Coils - Offered in Teal, Black and Red Colors
C59-883V - 10mm (0.4") Lift, Variable Rate - less lift, but more load support when loaded or towing

I generally have say 150-200lbs of constant load in the form of cargo daily driving. More if the bike rack is cantilevered off the hitch. I also felt the truck was a little soft when towing my 2500lb trailer for the first time. My 80 on 37's fells more stable towing at HWY speeds. I'm looking to firm up the rear end but not lift the truck. At least noticeably anyway. Also don't want to add to rake so I may need to add something upfront. Our family is planning an Alaskan Overland trip next summer with the 250 and the trailer. I'd like a little more confidence towing for sure.

Sounds like you'll be too heavy for these then.

Your only option might be to add airbags. I'm not sure if the big companies have released their kits of those for these trucks yet.

These would be for a stock weight vehicle, or someone that hooks up a boat or light trailer every now and then. Tongue weight and hitch weight add up fast on some trailers and some carriers. 200lbs in the cargo area vs on a hitch, on a hitch it feels more like 300-400lbs inside due to all of the leverage that weight adds on the rear end.

EDIT, adding in this:
You'll probably need one of these for the Alaska trip, then remove them when you get back. Better to have a bit more lift and load support than not. The 817V will be more like 1" of lift with 550lbs added
C59-817V - 40mm (1.6") Lift, Variable Rate with 175-330LBS rear end constant load
C59-819V - 40mm (1.6") Lift, Variable Rate with 550-770LBS rear end constant load

We're finally ready to share all the options that are here or coming from Dobinsons Spring & Suspension for the new 250 Series Land Cruiser. I'll be posting up all the options and specs, as much as I can share, and also updating it as needed for when new parts or options are added.

If you're already running parts from Dobinsons, please post up photos of those and your rig to share with everyone else. We might ask for some measurements from you too.

We're looking at early 2025 for many of the parts to come in, including the new coils for the front and some for the rear, the standard travel front struts, strut mounts, and the UCA's. Some parts are shared among the Tundra/Sequoia/300 Series platform, so they're already here and in stock.

This is all based on the 2.4L and 2.7L gasoline engines. I won't be listing the non-USA engine coil spring options, to avoid confusion

Mike,

I have the C-59-882 black assembled with the IMS59-60660 and the C-59-817V black with IMS-60441 for the rear in my shopping cart. Do you have an estimated ETA for when these will be in stock?

Also I have a constant rear load of about 100 lbs of recovery gear, etc. not including First Edition skid plates, First Edition roof rack, and aluminum sliders. I am looking to achieve a 2" rear lift. Do you recommend the C59-817V or C59-889V rear coils? Rarely tow anything.

Thanks...Jeff

I put a note on my site for the 250 stuff. ETA is next spring. I don't think we will see most of it until April at the earliest. I'll update the first post here when the stuff hits the ocean.

885V rears unless you think you'll add more weight with more accessories before too long.

Sounds good. Looking forward to it.

I just got confirmation that a huge majority of the coil spring options will be arriving at the end of March, to start shipping in early April. There's a good amount coming, but also many people have already placed backorders to get theirs from the first delivery.

Will the IMS59-60660 with C59-882B be available preassembled for a 2” to 2-1/4” ride height increase?

Yes, that's right, but we can't offer assembly until the strut mounts also come in and I have a feeling those may take the longest to come in.

Edited the main post to include all of the Lexus GX550 specs.

Are these eKDSS compatible for GX550 OT+?

Are there any specs available related to extended length vs stock for the IMS59-60660 and IMS-60441 shocks? Am I sacrificing down travel front or rear by lifting 2” with Dobinsons springs?

Yes. There's not going to be any difference with those that Dobinson's can see

I don't have those specs and since the shocks aren't out yet, I can't measure them. I don't keep stock lengths of any OEM shocks.

Another vendor says their shocks are not ekdss compatible, do you know what makes the Dobinsons compatible?

I'll ask them again and see if they give a different answer this time.

What other vendor?

SHOCKS DO NOT WORK WITH KDSS

Perhaps they just haven't tested it yet with KDSS. All the old King stuff for the past 15 years would say it wasn't compatible with KDSS as well, even though people used it with it all the time.

Dobinsons has 2 test vehicles running the suspension on GX550's for many months now and no problems have come up. There are 3 vehicles that are running the LC250 parts as well.

The Land Cruiser 300 series runs e-KDSS on some models and Dobinsons have no issues with lifts on those either.

Definitely interested in the C59-883V rear coil springs. I tow an aliner trailer and these springs should hopefully fix the squat I get. I assume these springs are rated slightly higher weight than stock as well?

Yeah. All the Dobinsons rear springs are a higher rate than stock, I just don't have the specs of the stock spring rates as of yet.

Are the test bed GX overtrail with ekdss?
