Pretty straight foreword. Rear is easy, disconnect the sway bars, droop the axle on one side and use a jack to flex the other side.

Front is a bit more involved. I originally tried to install without loosening the brake lines. Gave in and disconnect the brake lines on both sides at the frame and used a bottle jack to flex the axle to get the springs in an each side.

Edit: I had to use a bottle jack between the frame and front axle to get the springs in.

Any advice/tricks on the control arm bushings?

No before and after pics? How about good measurements from center of hub to edge of fender along with the model number of the springs.

Looks good by the way

Don’t have center of hub, but have top of the tire to bottom of fender before and after. Netted around 5”, but she had a tired original suspension with 300k miles

Did you get the 3.5" or 2.5" Tapered?

Most that got the 3.5" coils are reporting a solid 4" (24") of lift on loaded 80s.

Thanks for bringing this to light.

24 3/4 center of hub to bottom of fender in the front and rear just over 25”, but the Slee rear with tire carrier and ladder will be installed in the near future.

Wow, hopefully that will settle down.
Right now that's a 4.75" front & 5" rear of lift.

He has minimal weight on that rig from the looks of it. @RaleighCJ if you are having to disconnect your brake lines to get those springs in, you may need to consider some extended lines. Last thing you will want is to use them as limiting straps on a trail run.

David will email you a list of parts needed for the full install. One of those parts is the extended brake lines. Some parts are Dobinsons and others from other vendors.

Also worth noting, the first question David asked me when I inquired about which shocks he thought would be right for me was "How much does your rig weigh?"

Thanks, I’ve been working with @crikeymike

Are you planning on adding weight to your rig. Just wondering why you went with the tapered over the flexi.

Thanks for the detailed pictures. I have to do mine when I have a free weekend. I got the 2" flexi and made sure I got a can of black krylon as well.
