I have a FJ62 that I have been considering selling. I have a front clip from a parts 60 that I can put on. I prefer the look of the 60.

Do you think it would be a positive or negative selling feature if I swap the fronts?

Depends on the buyer. Round eyes typically are known to a manual truck, square to automatic. It’s really up to the person who owns it. If your selling it I personally wouldn’t mess w/ it. IMO, if you think it going to bring you more money then that’s a silly reason.

If you install the FJ60 front clip there are a couple of minor things to keep in mind. A few of the holes and welded nuts on the inner fenders (for attaching things) are different between the two, and two of the three leads to the headlights need to be switched around. @Godwin's magazine article on fuel injecting an FJ60 has details on the headlight harness rewiring.

As for the poll...FJ60 lights look much better, but don’t change your 62 unless you are going to keep it and like the 60 lights better.

I think Fj60 headlights look great on an Fj60 and I think Fj62 headlights look great on an FJ62. I would discourage swapping for a sale

A 62 is a 62. Leave it the way it is. Proudly '1980s'

4 eyes rule, but stock carries more value

Another thought to ponder. If enthusiasts modify cars they generally back date, which round headlights would do to a 62 . I mean you don’t read about guys trying to make cars look like later models .I’m not a Porsche guy but generally reading automotive websites I understand it’s huge in that world.
I believe that’s because the original design is usually what the designer had in mind and is therefore the best. In the Alfa Romeo world, that I do participate in, everybody likes the early cars with smaller bumpers and smaller side marker lights etc...

Round!!!! AINEC!!! (same with Jeep)

it would be the same if the OP asked if he should replace the boobs with butts :)

Your analogy is a bit off! You can have a woman with both great boobs and a great butt and also a woman with neither. A man could have a preference for one trait over the other but still have fondness for the alternate trait and also get them both. I could not legally have a 60/62 with no headlights and no one would want one with both, yet the optimum woman would have both. I understand that you were striving toward a humourous personal preference analogy from the perspective of the observer, But because you can have it both or neither in a boob/butt preference it doesn't track as well here because the choice of 60/62 headlights is mutually exlusive.

For example: My wife has amazing headlights yet I love watching her bend over to pick something up.

I like the round but then I like the manual trans as well....so I did both. If you're gonna sell it I'd not go through the effort.
