Who here daily drives their 100 that’s modified?

I drive mine 500+ miles a week on average. Really should be driving something really economical.

2000 with 195k now. 33s, all the mods but lockers. Fridge/ drawers, roof tent/ awning, etc etc.

12mpg average

Really nice rigster. If you drove something more economical, chances are you would have to pay for it. Use that money for costs associated with daily driving the Black Assasin.

I drive mine about half of any given month. I have a 2004 Tundra that I rotate in so neither of them sit that long. I also normally drive my Tundra on trips since it is so much more comfortable when I'm headed to our place in Florida.

Yes. And have for 5 years. Fun to push it. Get about 12 or so. Vsc comes on all the time. 😂

Yep. Total Japanese dumpster fire on wheels.
Compared to what. Some unibody car/ truck. They are junk off road and last about 5 trips out and rebuild everything. Or something with rear ifs? Just curious. Most folks drive 100s like grandpas. Push it and enjoy. They weight 6000 lbs and are body on frame with solid rear axle.

I was just cutting a funny. I wouldn't get 100 series if I was not going to drive it every day....other than my extra for overlanding. Just like I am now as I head to try to bowhunt swine.

Oh I know that all to well. Bad thing is I have a perfectly fine truck that gets better fuel mileage, had more miles, and is generally not worth as much as this. But it’s been drove twice in 10 weeks. The Toyota is just handier to drive, and flat out nicer.

Not fully built, but certainty modified with front & rear bumpers and sliders.

But what other vehicle has a crotch vent for A/C? What else can you ask for in a DD?

This is definitely a huge perk in summer.

Also the sequoia of the same era has this too. Just for tech info

Yes. 11mpg hurts my wallet and with gas prices rising I've been considering something more economical.

That’s a good looking Cruiser @clrussell I’d DD that and just change the narrative to Smiles Per Gallon. YOLO.

Its my only car for now, but im looking for something to go back and forth to work soon. I dont wanna run up the clock too much even though it can handle it fine. I do think driving it more often helps to keep in touch with how its running and if it needs anything.

I don't daily drive off-road

Thanks, it’s a nice rig and I enjoy it.

I don’t however spending more than my house payment a month in fuel 🤣.
500 miles per month is ~41 gallons of fuel at 4 dollars per gallon... ~166 dollars per month.

First, if that is your house payment, I'm jealous.
Second, unless you want to DD a late 80s or early 90s toyota/Honda, you'll come out way ahead driving the 100.

Once you factor in insurance, registration, etc, it won't save you any money.
