we miss our third vehicle, but now if my 100 is down, the wife and I are lucky enough to be able to solely rely on her 200. and if hers is down for a day or so, the 100 takes over. We do a lot of preventative maintenance so we usually can plan for our 1 car days. We're always looking for another good deal on another cruiser though. we're eying up 40's, 60's, and 80's just for fun.

Backup vehicles are for the weak. Be confident in your maintenance skills.

So while the seats are out of the 100 being reupholstered, I should sit on milk crates? Oooh... wait - I need backup seats! ;)

Could probably fit a more comfy lawn chair. One of those rocking ones would be nice.

Maintenance skills or not, **** happens! I guess I have confidence in my two feet and intentionally short commute.
yeah I'm just being a turd. Brand new cars breakdown too though. In 14 years, my LC stranded me once bc I wasn't taking care of a leak and my alternator s*** the bed unexpectantly. My buddies wife got stranded with the whole fam in her first month of ownership of a new waggoneer. I'm playing the odds I guess.

It's either one foot in front of the other, or those feet clipped into pedals. n+1 just takes fuel, insurance, and maintenance money away from the LX.

Public transit and Uber take care of anything I couldn't bike or walk to.

The back up to my 260k mi Land Cruiser is my 170k mi Mustang I’ve had since HS. I would say they are back ups to each other depending on what stupid task I’ve managed to take too long with.
