Nope, it was too tall to fit in the dyno bay. However still have the front shaft off running rwd only. Going to try another place when I get a chance. Also turned up the boost to 8psi and I am really enjoying it. A little too much I think since I find myself slamming on the brakes from light to light. I am still testing waters here, so I plan on upping boost again soon to 9-10psi and running it like that for a while to see how it runs. AFR's are still in the mid tens to eleven at 8psi. Engine temps are still steady at 195.

A friend just told me that these guys have a 4 wheel dyno:

Might be worth a try... I, for one, am very interested but want to see real numbers before taking the plunge. I sure got a reality check when Scottryana ran the MAF test and found that butt dyno and real dyno numbers can be very different.

I will be passing on the dyno for now. I do not feel I have to prove anything since I am not forcing a sale to anyone. I am here if you ever would like to drive it for yourself and see the difference between a standard rig and mine. However I plan on making a video showing 0-100mph run just for a reference and offcourse for sh*ts and giggles. By the way, a butt dyno will not work for MAF since you are talking about small numbers. But in the case of force induction, where 50+ whp is involved, your arse is definitely going to feel it ;)

Are you confident enough in the project now to offer it as a kit? I think you are doing an amazing job with this.

I have been busy at work but have been racking up the miles and still been very satisfied with the performance. I can put together a DIY kit however I was planning on first trying to install it on some local rigs and have them do their own testing. However if you have the resources to make the piping and mounts I am happy to sell everything you need to install. PM me with any questions you may have.

Just a quick update. Close to 2000 miles so far with no issues, no check engine, no hiccups. Going camping with the family in a couple weeks with a fully loaded 80, and gonna do some hill climbing. Gives me a chance finally to do some testing outside the city.

Looking forward to a trip report on your trucks off road performance with the turbo.

I have sourced out all the parts and can offer local members the kit installed for $3000.

Ok, I'm going to start saving. As for the DIY kit, does it require a body lift for clearance?
I understand your turbo is under the spare tire well and you do not have a snorkel, but will that be an option in your kit as well?

Does not require a body lift. Piping fits over the frame with no lift. I have not made a snorkel for it yet, however it should not be difficult to fabricate a rear snorkel or we can reroute the intake pipe back to the stock air box and you can use the standard snorkel also.

Can we see a video with 9psi??? Ill be calling you tomorrow 2k

How bout you stop by and see it for yourself. Talk to you tomorrow.

Would that price include the intake air coming from the front through the factory air filter?

Extra cost of running the intake pipe to the factory air box would be $300. That way you can use factory filter and snorkel.

Just talked to John and I can't wait to get this turbo on my truck!!!
